09/8/2011 16:27 | Keep the patience, they can't say anything. | treacle32
09/8/2011 14:20 | no news but must be some sort of announcement before 25th august which is date court case been put back to. Guess company should issue a put up or shut up under takeover code ASAP. Very poor show in light of fires burning all across the capital and complete uncertainty over company supplying the Fire Engines? | warwick69
09/8/2011 13:54 | Is anybody in touch with the company to see if they are making any progress yet ? | caledoniaman1
09/8/2011 10:52 | 10 million is there if the bid talks fail. | treacle32
09/8/2011 08:43 | when are we going to have an announcement about how the £10 million is to be applied is it a loan a placing or what and why no news about any bid offers? | warwick69
08/8/2011 19:48 | Well said Caledoniaman1. | treacle32
08/8/2011 14:43 | The £10m cash injection is just to buy time to avoid administration until an offer is formally proposed and accepted IMHO. | caledoniaman1
08/8/2011 14:16 | If [the proposals for £10m injection were] implemented, these proposals would involve material write downs for banking creditors and preference shareholders and significant dilution for existing shareholders. | rrogans
08/8/2011 14:14 | Do we know how much dilution resulted as a result of the £10m injection? The RNS seemed fairly negative on the outcome. | rrogans
08/8/2011 13:47 | I agree Caledoniaman. | zendik
08/8/2011 13:38 | Rumours are circulated to suit peoples own agenda - I will only believe what I hear from the company by RNS and I believe it will be positive news. This company have too much going for it, hence the reason investors put £10m up to save the company from going down. I will be surprised if they are sold for under 7p. | caledoniaman1
08/8/2011 13:38 | I was told a bid for 12p ish was made a few months back and recently a bid for 2p was made but rejected straight away as way too low. A bid for 10pish I am being told is the recent one. I am watching and will start to believe the rumours if volume appears. | zendik
08/8/2011 13:34 | where did you hear that Rumour Zendik? | nico9
08/8/2011 13:10 | A few rumours circulating on this one. One is a 10p buyout has been made. Seems high for a company trading at 2p. Will watch this one for now. | zendik
08/8/2011 11:15 | Should have the rises imo this week. | treacle32
05/8/2011 17:11 | ... and where from. | citytrader 007
05/8/2011 17:10 | ... and where they all post. | citytrader 007
04/8/2011 18:52 | Down today on only general sell off on the market today. Nothing's change and still harbouring bid hopes of 5p+. | treacle32
04/8/2011 11:35 | The 10m injection allows them to carry on without being wound up this month. It doesn't guarantee them any great future or additional value and in itself doesn't justify the 10p quote that some have been making - think about how many times there has been an offer for shares more than 4x the current share price ... ...no, me neither. Caledoniaman1 - the reason the news haven't covered it is that there's much more important news around - phone hacking, Norway, US defecits, African drought and so on...we've more news than you can fill right now. And, if ASTO goes bust someone else will step in...the service provided to London and Lincoln won't change, just the name. Once again, a bit like Southern Cross. There was a bit of a scare story about old people being kicked out in the street but everyone knew that when it came to it, it wouldn't happen, and sure enough if something does happen here, someone will step in and run the contracts without the baggage of claims and creditors that ASTO leaves behind. | jockblue
03/8/2011 23:40 | cyberbub - 3 Aug'11 - 17:52 - 1628 of 1629 So are ASTO likely to go the way of SCHE ie. suspension? Is it really likely that someone will buy them at up to 10p when they could just wait for them to go bust and pick up the assets for a song? cyberbub - that game is over - give it a rest - we are back im play - ask yourself this question - why has SKY News or the BBC News never made an issue or reported on this - all of Londons Fire Engines potentially kaput - because the government are covering this whole mess up IMHO and will be working to ensure that this PFI does not fail and a major embarrasment is avoided - simply too much at stake here for the government - ASTO will survive IMHO - trust me !! | caledoniaman1
03/8/2011 22:50 | Not with a 10m cash injection from existing shareholders and a minimum of 4 companies already in talks with them to buy them because of the middle east contracts. Sit tight. | tez123
