I was just thinking to myself the other day that we have not seen much of Tony for a while. It will be good to hear from the main man himself...

That was odd, was earlier reading the Liberum coverage post as I got out the lift at work on the way to the restaurant for breakfast (new job started January) and was faced with their office entrance door at the same time. They are in the same building as me.

Peter Bird, Asiamet's Chief Executive Officer commented:

"......The BKM Project remains extremely well positioned as one of the few advanced new copper projects moving towards production against a backdrop of a projected net short supply balance and rising copper prices."

Just perfect.

Another tick in the box with a suggestion of marginal improvement on the PEA assumptions. Based on the previous JORC and strip ratio information, it’s certain the BFS will provide an improvement on the $204million NPV from the PEA. The question is , by how much? My opinion fwiw is we’ll be at , at least $300 million or around double the current share price for BKM alone.
All shaping up very nicely...

I agree Finance won’t be a problem. A mix of debt and equity. Don’t forget there are local investors itching to invest. Investors in
London plus there are a number of existing heavy hitters just waiting if the opportunity came.

Finance won’t be an issue. Only have to look at the backers here

Bluerunner; the biggest headwind I see is finance. Mine development finance has been difficult across the industry hence developments stalling or being moth balled. Interest rates are also on the increase making finance more expensive. Add to a stock market that’s near a ‘top’ then there are macro risks. This is why I’d like to see the BKM BFS done ASAP and finance ( presumably 70% debt , 30% equity) confirmed. This de-risks everything, at which point I’d expect the share price to move toward the NPV figure...
I see a 6 month window for this.

Blue runner, if you look at the latest Ars presentation they were expecting I think, a 600k surplus in 2017, and 200k surplus 2018 before the deficit in 2019. It will be interesting to see what 2018 brings. If China grows at 6% and the US at 3% they will most likely be a deficit this year as well. Then...all hell will break loose for Cu.

Mr Roper - yes, sorry my last point wasn't very clear.

The mid-2019 reference was based on an IC article at the start of this month.
It quoted analysts at BMO Capital Markets stating that "the supply-drive copper deficit ... is now only 18 months from fruition".
Later in the same article and referring to Chinese copper mining activity, it states that "such a problem would accelerate the emergence of a strong refined deficit, something we currently expect in mid-2019."

I guess the question at the end of my last post referred to any other events that might lessen the chances of the deficit deepening further with that mid-2019 timeline in mind.
