02/11/2023 11:11 | Would guess Mr Bailey will simply follow Mr P and hold rates today. As posted previously, it's no coincidence Bailey's rate decisions are a day after Mr P's, wash my mouth out :) | disc0dave46
01/11/2023 20:02 | Mr P holding rates. Seems to have said something the market likes - for the time being!.Https://www.f | disc0dave46
01/11/2023 19:41 | Oh dear, shouldn’t have mentioned YU, I’ve clearly upset some folks on that thread. Hence the appearance of a down ticker here. Sorry | disc0dave46
01/11/2023 19:24 | Have a butchers if you wouldn't mind at the YU chart.Sorry for bothering Mr b and apologies to all for off topic. | disc0dave46
01/11/2023 18:57 | To avoid misunderstanding provide dates for the double top you are referring to. | bracke
01/11/2023 18:50 | Thanks for taking the time There's a bearish double top and the share price has now closed below the double top support, so should I also be looking at those signals on your list to confirm the trend reversal?......sorry but is that what you were suggesting?. | disc0dave46
01/11/2023 18:39 | disc0 There are a number of 'events' that suggest a trend has reversed: 1 Initially shallower retraces perhaps followed by a period of basing. 2 In the current situation, higher lows and higher highs. 3 Moving back above previous support zones which had failed to support. 4 Establishing new FIB Levels. 5 A rising daily RSI. I think that's enough to be going on with. | bracke
01/11/2023 18:11 | Thanks Mr b8%! no comment.Question - as a TA guru, how many consecutive days below a double top support level would it take for a trend reversal to be confirmed?......is this subjective or is there a rule of thumb?.Thanks in advance. | disc0dave46
01/11/2023 18:02 | Good day disc0 "getting you confused with Mr P, sorry :)" ==================== People have got too used low interest rates. Remember the 'good old days' when the rates was 8%-12% and higher!. If I was Mr P I'd have the interest rate at 8% that would soon sort inflation! Closing above and holding above 4721 (October low)may suggest the drop was done....BUT The black line just under 4721 is at 4633 which is the 50% fib (June 2022 low- March 2023 high). It appears this is proving to be better support that 4721. So I consider 4633 is the true support. If 4633 fails to hold the 61.8% fib at 4308 is a strong probability. High volume today but a moderate price range suggests buyers and sellers having a tussle. AHT DAILY | bracke
01/11/2023 14:54 | Sorry that should have been "good day Mr B", getting you confused with Mr P, sorry :) | disc0dave46
01/11/2023 14:53 | Good day Mr PRemind me, closing above 4721 is good? Then by tomorrow Mr P the kiss of death will soon get us back below again, bless him :) | disc0dave46
31/10/2023 11:32 | Caterpillar now falling on outlook... | fenners66
31/10/2023 11:18 | AHT seems to have fallen after those results and there is a view that Caterpillar have pricing power - thus the rental companies have to pay more. | fenners66
31/10/2023 11:05 | Sounds positive!Https://www | disc0dave46
31/10/2023 10:35 | Caterpillar initial results response +3% | fenners66
30/10/2023 19:31 | Thanks Mr b didn't notice intraday filled the gap....must pay attention! :)Mr Bailey will obviously follow Mr P, so let's see if we get repeated warm words. | disc0dave46
30/10/2023 17:13 | The gap at 4777 filled today with a high of 4782 but the share price having done so decided that was sufficient and has dropped back under 4721. Given that Mr Powell & Co are expected to hold the rate the market is unlikely to react very much if/when a pause is announced. I suppose if he was to provide 'warm' words about no further increases or even early reduction the market would be very pleased.......yes I know but one can fantasise! | bracke
30/10/2023 14:35 | Good day Mr bTRUMP lolBullish FTSE market today but not for AHT. Believe there's a Q3 update from Caterpillar tomorrow, may help to fill your gap (4777) or on the other hand! :( | disc0dave46
30/10/2023 13:29 | Good day disc0 I think it ironic that Mr Powell is attempting to 'rein in' the economy and Mr Biden wants to spend money at an ever increasing rate! All will be right with the world when Mr Trump breaks free from the shackles that lesser mortals have placed on him and he leads us all to Nirvana. ALL HAIL TRUMP! | bracke
30/10/2023 12:48 | Looks like Mr P and his cronies are odds on going to hold rates this week......at some point IMO he'll realise mission accomplished in trashing the global economy and try back peddling in panic...oops too late!.Not looking too strong here today for some reason!. | disc0dave46
26/10/2023 11:34 | Doesn't seem to tally with CEO comments or that they reaffirmed forecasts for the year.CEO Flannery continued, "Our full-year guidance speaks to the continued strength of our markets. Looking beyond 2023, we believe that our strategy positions us well to support our customers as they execute on the tailwinds we see across infrastructure, industrial manufacturing, and energy and power. Combined, these support our goals for profitable growth, strong cash flow, and attractive returns for our shareholders." | disc0dave46
26/10/2023 09:20 | If it breaks £50 we could see £55 easily | casket1
26/10/2023 09:06 | If it breaks £45 could see £40 easily. | trt
26/10/2023 08:14 | Fell on "margin disappointment, with conditions deteriorating into the year end". | liam1om
26/10/2023 00:20 | Thanks for that.Looks like it wasn't received very well with it falling 4.3% after hours - can't see why, strange times. | disc0dave46 |
