Haha 😂. Actually a completely honest question. I haven’t looked back throughout the thread to see.
I’m long AHT and was purely curious that’s all.

Long termers here, Just out of curiosity why do AHT prefer the share buy back vs increasing the dividend more?

Ref HRI

It is coming from a very low base so be wary of comparing with URI and AHT.

I presume the UK Euro MPs' will sign on for benefits when they get the boot at the end of March. As to those UK citizens employed by the EU....that's an interesting one. Does the EU employ non EU citizens?

On to far more important matters. I suspect the reason AHT has not risen further today is due to the rise in the £/$.

Surely we need more MP's not less.
With all the guy's and girl's returning from the European Parliament.
We cannot just throw them on the heap for the unemployable.
Will all the the gravy trainers be returning as well, or do they have guaranteed employment with the European Commission?
Cheers

Bloomberg referring to gerrymandering in the US elections - however it has not stopped them getting on with it.

Once in power both sides use what they like from the electoral commission to reorganise constituencies - combine that with savings to the public purse for less MP's I say get on with it !

Labour did the last change - no doubt benefited them.

A large rise in the US Futures and FTSE. I expected to see AHT up to and possibly beyond 2000. Maybe when the US opens they will take it up.

Good day fenners

"When you look at the House of Representatives - what is it 440 for the whole of the USA
why do we have more MP's then ?"
==================================================================================

There was a move to reduce the number from 650 to 600 but.....

'Labour opposes the reduction, which would cut the number of seats in its urban heartlands and result in the party losing more seats than the Tories. The Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn, has previously labelled the plans “gerrymandering”.'

Thought all budgets have to be agreed by both the Senate and the House before being signed off by the president.Democrats still in favour of infrastructure spend but may now have some input to dilute Trumps trade war with China.Think midterms were a win win IMO.

Is it the Senate that signs off big infrastructure ?
Looks like that is staying Republican.

It was a Senate committee that signed of Brett Kavanaugh wasn't it ?

I've no doubt your trades will give you a profit. The danger is 'spikes'.You know as well as me that when there is serious news the markets can spike up and down, it's a question of stop placement.

It appears there remains uncertainty about the strength of 1900 support and there is that gap to fill. Perhaps a drop to fill the gap and then back up to 1900.
