Good day Mr bInteresting point of view and wouldn't disagree with what he says.....BUT how about the beneficial impact on earnings (eps)?, and subsequent increase in share price at like for like ratings, he seems not to have mentioned that. For the four companies their eps ($) were as follows, which if he says the businesses had "stagnated" is not correct from an eps perspective (well apart from Boeing and I guess the impact of Covid):MCD 2016 5.58, 2018 7.98, 2022 8.42CAT 2016 0.12, 2018 10.4, 2022 12.6BA2016 7.75, 2018 18.1, 2022 8.29MMM2016 8.36, 2018 9.11, 2022 10.2

Given previous discussions on share buybacks I thought this an interesting article.

NO I do not want to open the buyback discussion again and NO I am not suggesting AHT are doing the same. It's purely for interest and shows the manner Directors fill their own pockets at the expense of their shareholders who fail to sell in time.

Good day Mr bYeah most of the media I've read are saying the same, up 0.25% and possibly a rise in June.FOMC minutes this evening may confirm or not.

It's going the right way but from what I read the FED still expected to increase by 0.25%.

Yes the gaps filled and 4414 comes to the rescue.

It now appears that the US market is interpreting bad data as bad data i.e. higher unemployment is no longer considered as good data but bad. As to Mr P cutting the rate what would that do for the inflation target. It would be seen as capitulation so my thought is a hold on rate increase in the 'hope' that inflation will gradually fall. If it fails to do so all bets are off.

It's easy to predict trt posting. Just wait for a largish fall and he/she will post the possibility of a further fall. The best way of profiting from trt posts or any other posts is to look at the reasoning, if there is any. Whether the reasoning is based on fundamentals or charts.

Looking at the chart the main concern is that the share price has dropped out of the ascending channel. It has also formed a lower low when it dropped below 4724. It needs to rise back in to the ascending channel to give confidence. If 4414 fails to hold 4300 may offer support but 4200 more likely.

Thanks Mr bLooks like 4414 then!.How the market loves a shake up, in just over 3 weeks Mr P will IMO hold or even cut rates (panic) and up we all go........I hope, everything crossed including all of the hounds appendages!.All the best

The jobs data should have been 'good' for the market. Maybe the fall in Caterpillar has been interpreted as an indication of a reduced need for equipment and also for hire equipment. I note URI is also down.

AHT share price has filled the gap at 4832 and may well also fill the gap at 4550. Previous support at 4724 failed to hold. The lower line of the rising channel and the Daily SMA200 also failed to support.

If a fill of the gap at 4550 fails to satisfy I don't see any possible support until 4414.

Time for trt to put in an appearance....
