07/6/2018 19:06 | I rest my case. I don't think matt is going to fit in very well here.... | perfido
07/6/2018 18:36 | The only reason share price pulled back towards the end of the day today is because of the sterling going up and as a result FTSE 100 going down. If you look at the graphs AHT and FTSE 100 graphs are almost identical. If it wasn’t for FTSE dropping this would have easily closed over 2450 today. Never mind there is always tomorrow :). At least it closed up again. I can easily see this hitting the 2600 by results day. | pm032017

07/6/2018 18:32 | A direct hit on a troll!! mattcookson I think we can leave it to the other posters on this board to decide how useful your repetitive ramping posts are, but the new investment messiah you are certainly not! The nature of you reply and lack of response to the points above gives an insight into your character which others can judge. Your use of language also shows a rather limited vocabulary. In the meantime, just to be factually correct, I am long, and post here regularly. The sooner you don't the better. | perfido
07/6/2018 18:29 | Come, come, language! | ianwwwhite
07/6/2018 18:20 | We don't mind views long or short and humour, but having a go at each other is not needed. | fenners66
07/6/2018 17:09 | It seems that we now have our own little troll, mattcookson, welcome to the board. Perhaps you could introduce yourself and explain: 1. Why do you keep posting the same message, posts 55311, 55289 & 55245 are near identical? Is it a case of RRS? (repetitive ramping syndrome) 2. Is there any need to post the whole of an RNS which already appears at the head of the thread under the 'News' section, or do you just like to see yourself in print? 3. Since you recommenced todays ramping operations, the AHT price has fallen back to near where it started, do you really think your pathetic postings have any influence? 4. I note that your profile commenced on 1st April 2017, is there a clue there? 5. Lay off the 'shorters', we are quite fond of them I think it's a fair guess that your ego is bigger than your wallet if this is how you operate. :-) | perfido
07/6/2018 15:50 | Remember, nothing ever goes up in a straight line. Shorters you are going down and AHT is going up :). £1B buy is in full force, see the latest RNS below. AHT is currently buying back 50-60K shares per day. Looking forward to the smashing results on the 19th June and at which point all lousy shorters will go bankrupt hahahaha!! Wed 06 Jun 2018 17:19 RNS Number : 5631Q Ashtead Group PLC 06 June 2018 Transaction in own shares Ashtead Group plc (the "Company") announces that on 06 June 2018 it purchased for Treasury the following number of its ordinary shares of 10 pence each pursuant to its £1 billion share repurchase programme, details of which were announced on 14 December 2017. 07/6/2018 15:24 | Good day uppompeii I am touched at your concern and yes my status is in the balance. Rome (as you know) was not built in a day and AHT takes even longer to reward its shorters....if it deigns to. So its onwards and hopefully downwards. | bracke
07/6/2018 14:58 | I fear for bracke's Elite Guru status once more. | uppompeii
07/6/2018 12:23 | Come 19th June, final results announcement date, these will be trading well over £25. Remember the Q3 results?? “For the first nine months of the year, rental revenue increased a healthy 21% and operating profit climbed 22%. Free cash flow jumped from £68m to £179m, and earnings per share on an underlying basis rose an impressive 30% to 102.4p.” SOLID BUY!! | mattcookson
07/6/2018 12:22 | This is a smashing buy! Shorters run for the hills hahahaha!! Wait till AHT announces stellar results on the 19th June, even your houses will be sold. Do yourself a favour, call your brokers and close them shorts ASAP before you go bankrupt hahahaha!! | mattcookson
07/6/2018 12:00 | Thanks bracke, much appreciated | ianwwwhite
07/6/2018 11:31 | A gap is a gap. It means that prices in a gap are not tradeable until the gap fills. Having broken through 2400 it has dropped back to test support at that level. It has also broken above the top line of the ascending channel (Post 55301) but has dropped back down to rest on it. I have opened a third short at 2406 and am averaged at 2314. | bracke
07/6/2018 10:04 | Lol! Is it possible that the delayed start caused demand to be concentrated, and caused a bit of a spike? If so I don't think that counts, but no doubt our Elite Guru will put us right... | ianwwwhite
07/6/2018 09:44 | Does that count as a gap then - since we were not quoted ? | fenners66
07/6/2018 08:40 | Started at a gallop +28 at 24.17, previous intra-day highs surpassed!! | ianwwwhite
07/6/2018 08:34 | LSE opening was delayed, now open at 9.00am | ianwwwhite
06/6/2018 19:13 | Thanks bracke. | discodave4
06/6/2018 17:02 | What a stock this is. Wish I'd followed the management at 130p. But it will be a fabulous SHORT once the business cycle peaks. And I'll be ready this time. | lebiche
06/6/2018 13:49 | Disco "(even though the laws of probability & stats appear not to always apply to AHT!)." ==================== So I've noticed!.......Howev AHT DAILY | bracke
06/6/2018 13:37 | Ian / BrackeIan ditto, buy and hold until the story changes. However, do want to get some into my ISA so contemplating selling some before results and hopefully buying back cheaper and get some freebies......nice dilemma to have but doesn't make actioning it any easier!.Bracke - Thanks for your thoughts from a TA perspective, helps my decision (even though the laws of probability & stats appear not to always apply to AHT!).DD | discodave4 |
