A lot of AHT earnings come from the US - the strong £ must be hurting AHT imo.

The share price is within a day or two of the apex of a symetrical wedge.......I just thought you would want to know that. Which means a decision, up or down.........I suppose it could just go sideways.

This next part of my post is not easy to type. It is appearing that barring a biggish move by the share price (Oh! I hope it does) uppompeii is going to win the Mars Bar. We will never hear the last of it if he does.

Highish volume on Friday but look at the tight range and small body in the midle of the range - a spinning top. A battle between bulls and bears.

Viewing the 3 Monthly Chart above shows that on the two occasions the share price has attempted to rise it was sold into strength.

It is approaching 'decision day'. Either break up to a higher low or break down through 840 for a lower low.

The current rate of decline suggests a 'decision' by the end of May.

Anthony Mirhaydari has obviously noticed a lot of small caps are already off 10-20% or more.

Why is AHT mentioned in an article about FTSE 250 Mid Cap Shares, isn't it in the FTSE 100?

I was getting withdrawal symptoms
50% in yesterday sub 860
25% in today sub 850
which leaves me with 25% when it go's to 812 .

Good grief! 945 - what was I thinking!

At least my offer to double the prize if dcarn won at £10.10 is beginning to look safe!

The share price is forming a descending triangle with a series of lower highs and a base.

The strong probability is another test of the base at 840. A close below this level will see jimi licking his lips in anticipation.

AHT closed at 859.5p today, and with just over a week to go in the competition, here's a reminder of guesses, predictions, flights of fancy etc of those prepared to stake their reputations, in order to win a Mars Bar to share with the film star of their choice, after the close on 16th May:

DiscoDave4 920
uppompeii 855
ianwwwhite 945
fenners66 888
FunkmasterP12 955
James97 970
dcarn £10.10
jimi hendrix 795

As we reach the final straight, uppompeii and fenners66 are contesting the lead, but judging by the dismal performance today, jimi looks to be in with a good chance...

You'll have to buy your own Mars Bar.

True but if you are a dedicated AHT'er and think that the share price is headed for 1000+ you have to decide when to buy. You can buy now but the share price is in 'no-mans land'.

If you buy now you stand to make more money if it rises but the risk is greater because there is no indication which way it will go. If you wait for a higher high the profit is less but you have a better indicator.

The same strategy applies to a sell decision. ie. wait for a lower low before selling because the indication is that it will go lower.

You pays your money; or not; and takes your choice.
