16/8/2020 12:12 | I think there's truth in a lot of recent comments, bottom line I believe his investment certainly will have an effect not necessarily on gold but on gold producers. He can't get into AAU to the levels which he would give a toss even if it doubles (or when) but a lot of PIs have that opportunity . | ![]() bigglesbingham
16/8/2020 11:48 | And it’s a herd of biblical proportions, like the Legendary million strong buffalo herds which used to sweep majestically across the North American plains. Problem is they’ve all got to cram themselves into a five seater and make a treacherous journey to the City, disembark, then all squeeze themselves in to a phone booth and start calling in those orders. That’s how small a space we’re in. But at least we’re already here. We took a leisurely stroll over a decade ago. Just kick back now and watch the ensuing bedlam with just the hint of a smirk... | ![]() crossfirecssf
16/8/2020 08:55 | "He might well have had a, perceived, hugely successful investment return, over such a period of time". Nothing "perceived" about it. He has. Buffet is 90 now so I suspect that others are taking over the reigns (with the same methodology I would hope) which may explain the volte face. | jc2706
16/8/2020 05:44 | A 'feeling'? What, like when he spent all that money earlier this year on airline stock.? My feelings on Buffet, et al, are more alined to that of Fewbob, above, than his hoards of admiring PI fans. He might well have had a, perceived, hugely successful investment return, over such a period of time, but he and his ilk have been playing with loaded dice - his having to dump all that Delta stock at a massive loss being one such example of investing by his own devices. After all, he's been one of the biggest gold bears around for years! 'Contrarian', at best, I'd say... | ![]() linz22
16/8/2020 00:11 | I've got a feeling buffet's gold investment will be the turning point for every gold stock on the planet, including this one. | ![]() charles clore
15/8/2020 22:40 | It will be interesting to see if Buffett's investment (a lot of money but obviously a tiny fraction of the global gold market) has any psychological impact on the overall POG next week... I suspect it won't but you never know, Buffett is legendary and his fund has grown something like 5 million percent over 60 years of investing... | ![]() cyberbub

15/8/2020 09:34 | Berkshire took a new position in Barrick, buying 20.9 million shares, or 1.2% of the company’s outstanding stock, with a current market value of $565 million, according to a regulatory filing on Friday. Large miners including Barrick and Newmont Corp. have been hoping to woo back generalists who fled the sector years ago. Paulson & Co., run by billionaire hedge-fund manager John Paulson, also added to its holdings in Barrick. | ![]() thanksamillion

14/8/2020 16:10 | CSSF - does AAU have a trillion shares issued? | ![]() charles clore
14/8/2020 15:58 | Yes I am aware :-( | ![]() cool hand kev
14/8/2020 15:39 | Only thing about AAZ is that they didn't have a trillion shares at 5p. There market cap is still only about £170m, which would give AAU a share price of around 17p for to be equivalent in value. | ![]() crossfirecssf
14/8/2020 14:21 | I haven't released all my (EUA) funds yet but if the share price stays here for a couple weeks I will be adding to my AAU & TXP holdings (another potential 10 Bagger) AAZ went from 5p to 170p same potential here? | ![]() cool hand kev
14/8/2020 13:59 | At this point I think we could do with a further influx of "aspiring millionaires" to maintain the upward momentum. | ![]() thanksamillion
