You must remember that Kerim had to chose between Hot Mardon and Salinbas when they couldn't afford to buy licenses for both, Kerim chose Salinbas. I would not be surprised with his expertise, if he will be proved to have bought the better deposit. Time and more drilling will tell.

Yes ultra conservative. This will all come together and I firmly believe that with the deal we are looking at multiples from here, especially if we find what kerims persona indicates at salinbas . Their projects are so well suited to developing the area.

No biggles forgive me I was in no way implying that you were seeking to excuse the situation that PG has created by its latest lacklustre note. The point about not needing the deal is that even without it the note should have put the company in a better light than it did. But they still chose to play their usual hand.

After my first posting, thought I would follow up. Yes I still see the light at the end of the tunnel, but someone has just turned the dimmer switch down and the tunnel has just got a little longer, but as long as our engine keeps running we will be out in the bright light eventually.
Is that a bit heavy for a Tuesday night ?

Not using it as excuse just stating facts. Never been a fan of PG Based on results. As to whether we NEED a new partner I'd argue kerim believes we do to realise his goals for the company.

Biggles - is that really an acceptable excuse for a top notch broker like PG? I would have thoughat the very least they would have tried to recognise the additional value in the rising gold price, regardless of the lack of contract signature. After all, it's not as if we actually NEED the new partner, is it?

I rang PG and I believe our main man isn't avaikk OK able for few weeks so not sure who wrote it. And until signature on contract they won't assume it's a done deal

It should, and if I didn't own it, it would, but I think their maintaining the price was to do with the RNS basically saying nothing other than that a verbal commitment had been made. Nothing is actually 100% confirmed yet. Also broker notes are always ultra cautious (I mean cowardly).

CC hopefully the results, when we get them out, will show how out of kilter that valuation was.
I really can't understand with all the good news and the amount of gold and silver resource we have added over recent months and in the face of strengthening PMs prices that this doesn't have a market cap starting with a 6 instead of a 4. Go figure.

I couldn't believe the latest PG note - issued after the deal was confirmed - left the target price unchanged, despite gold and silver increasing significantly. What was that all about?? This should be at least 6.5p right now imho.

Incidentally, a silver explorer/miner could be the next move, as I believe silver is going to catapult once gold approaches new all-time highs.

CC, simply from a personal point of view, once the t's are crossed and i's dotted here with regard to all of the news being made official, the shareprice here should be reflective of that, and at that stage, I'll take some profits and diversify.

I should say that I've an extremely high risk tolerance and when I speak of diversifying, I'm talking about owning 3-5 shares max. If I told you how many I owned just now you'd think me mad, but it's currently a number between zero and two. I'm waiting for the JV approval and the divi announcement, and only then shall I 'diversify' in the narrowest sense of the word.

I really think AAU could do with getting clear financial estimates into the market. They need to spell out the expected production this year, the AISC, likely turnover etc. Because at this price, with gold where it is, well, its barmy! Spell it out!

I see where you're coming from, for me waiting around for the proposed divi is just a one dimensional element in a whole array of activities here, I think we could well be in for news entirely away from the JV situation namely from Cyprus not forgetting the late publication of the accounts which must be good because of the POG increase

JAF1848 - I wouldn't count on there not being any fresh news announced in the interim, plenty going on elsewhere, in Cyprus for example. This won't stay in the doldrums for long, there is a history of unexpected RNS's popping up

Kerim has basically told us that nothing is going to happen in the next 6-7 weeks so who can blame anyone for taking money out of AAU during that timescale ?
