03/2/2020 19:02 | Also Ariana were viewed more than Aviva and Barclays today on HL | paul280i
03/2/2020 18:36 | According to the Hargreaves Lansdown site, Ariana is the fourth most viewed share today behind Lloyds, Shell & BT. Amazing. Are we no longer under the radar? Is there a wedge of money waiting to be invested? | plasybryn
03/2/2020 17:41 | Well reasoned post donald. | soulsauce
03/2/2020 17:32 | Well, the chart looks great and gold remains solid in the 1570s. It may be that the strength of gold is affecting negotiating positions. One of my bigger positions is BUR, which is very cheap on fundamentals because it deals in uncertainties. The JV will address some of the uncertainties at AAU, and for that reason alone should lead to a higher rating. But ultimately, its all down to the final terms of any agreement and you either trust the board to strike a good deal or you don't. Seems to me that AAU have enough variables for something to be achievable that everyone is happy with. | donald pond
03/2/2020 17:10 | Charles, yes I like Dragons Den and understand your point. My point is we currently are doing very nicely and the future prospects look even better. I appreciate the new JV has financial clout and development capabilities for Salinbas, but financially AAU are quite profitable and Tasvan can easily be developed with Proccea via a loan. AAU can improve Salinbas value by more self funded drilling for a year or two, or by giving Proccea a buy in deal that doesn't involve giving away 76%. This route preserves control, current + future profits and future potential. The more I do the maths the less I like this deal, though like Paul280i I appreciate some want a quicker time frame or feel the deal is a good one. I just think the numbers don't support the current MOU deal. | temujiin
03/2/2020 16:58 | Excellent point Charles. | soulsauce
03/2/2020 16:57 | Plas - maybe so but not if Betts lends out £2m of shareholder funds like the last time. That's why I sold. | charles clore
03/2/2020 16:48 | Yes I'm in Hum Kirbs4 but nothing like to the level I have in Ariana. If you are interested here is one reason why:-Dan Durrent saying HUM is one of just four 10 bagger producers he has identified. Potential 10 bagger if gold goes to $2000 plus which many think it will.there. https://podtail.com/ | plasybryn
03/2/2020 16:45 | Temujlin, I understand your point but for me I don't want or may not have 9 years to receive that income. Given the opportunity for some dividend now, even if it is less than it could be years down the line, I would take it now. (Could that be a good line for a song?) | paul280i
03/2/2020 16:38 | Tem - ever watched Dragons Den? Those punters give away huge amounts of equity just to get the right partner on board who can open doors quickly and enable exponential growth. 3p tomorrow imho. | charles clore
03/2/2020 16:38 | Interesting figures temujiin. Well, no news today but a decent day nevertheless. | mcmather
03/2/2020 16:32 | Soul, my point is that Tasvan can conservatively, give AAU the same cash as what the JV is offering by itself. Kiziltepe with a mine life of say 9 years at 25k/yr spin off: POG $1550 - cash costs say $650 x 25,000 (oz) x 9 years = $202.5m / 2 = $101.25m And management seem to be giving away over half of that profit, ie $53.66m on top of the Tasvan profit and 76% of Salinbas for $38m plus perhaps $8m from Proccea. I think I'd rather keep the projected $68m profit from Tasvan, the projected $101m from Kizil (total $169m) and 100% of Salinbas, than the offer of a short term fix. Salinbas can be spun off at a later date for more consideration imo, and it would seem we keep much more cash and control by rejecting the offer that we know about so far. | temujiin
03/2/2020 16:18 | Yes hopefully. | soulsauce
03/2/2020 16:11 | Hopefully we should know in the very near future | paul280i
03/2/2020 15:58 | Well paul dropping $30m cash in to the account of a company valued at £25m has surely got to put a penny on even at the expense of farming down to 23%. I suppose a lot depends on who the third party is. | soulsauce
03/2/2020 15:51 | 7.5% up with no new information, how much will the next RNS raise the SP? | paul280i
03/2/2020 15:42 | Yes looking like the next leg up has started. Great looking graph. Tem but what if they use the $30m to further a better resource than Tavsan and then roll that one? As Thanksamillion says got to trust the board on this one. | soulsauce
03/2/2020 14:30 | I suppose either one trusts our board to make the right "informed" decision or you don't, they must be well aware of all the figures. I am expecting a full explanation of the rational in the JV document. | thanksamillion
03/2/2020 14:08 | Looks like they are short of stock and steady stream of buys today. Certainly aren't letting them have mine at this level. | thanksamillion
03/2/2020 13:16 | Are you in HUM Plas? I was there a few years ago but sold out at 30 something, looks like they have dipped back to low 20's? | kirbs4
03/2/2020 12:51 | Price nudging up with each trade | mad foetus
03/2/2020 09:32 | I see three ;-) | carcosa |
