14/9/2024 15:54 | We will see. You may be surprised. | charles clore
14/9/2024 14:10 | Charles I am not going to accept that from you. There is plenty about Zimbabwe online, not historic but current, from dependable sources such as GOV.UK. Despite an improvement on the Mugabe era things are not as you imply. I am not trying to pick an argument here, nor am I condemning Arianas involvement in Zimbabwe. You will see that I have posted in the past that after consideration I support the investment there while also acknowledging, as others have done on this board, that the risk profile of AAU as an investment has risen as a result. All I objected to, I believe quite rightly, was your description of Zimbabwe as a land of milk and honey. Milk and honey it ain't. | jaynesdad
14/9/2024 13:48 | Zimbabwe 'the land of milk and honey', maybe but unfortunately not much water, something that Ariana are going to need to consider for the plant design. That and the business crippling power outages. | soulsauce
14/9/2024 11:51 | JD - you might know something about accounting but you obviously don't know much about Zimbabwe. It would probably be advisable to research the subject. | charles clore
14/9/2024 10:16 | I believe the last Grand Tour was through Zimbabwe.?. Too many other places were unsafe apparently? | shortarm
14/9/2024 09:48 | Well that was a conversation killer. I think many of us are still stunned by a description of Zimbabwe as the land of milk and honey. Many investors were seriously concerned when Dokwe was announced, especially as it will be probably the most important asset determining the future of this company. | jaynesdad
13/9/2024 19:37 | Kerim thinks Dokwe will be the company maker. I agree with him. Zimbabwe is the land of milk and honey and will make the company famous. Anyone who knows about the country will agree with me. Wait until progress reaches the point where there is a story to be told. From that point onward, I'm telling you Ariana won't look back. Not long to wait now so keep watching. | charles clore
13/9/2024 19:08 | Yup, there is no relationship between AAU share price and gold.Until there is!And that will be when Tavsan is producing,Or Slivova is producing or Dokwe is producing!Three or four producing gold mines is not common buddy, market will adjust!.This year, next year, year after, it WILL ADJUST!.Unless you think two producing gold mines was just a fluke? | shortarm
13/9/2024 18:44 | Shortarm, Of course you can wish for a higher gold price. However, despite what you would like to believe, there is no correlation between an increase in the gold price and Ariana's share price. I proved it mathematically on here in December 2021 and my post today was just a confirmation of that. In the past two years whilst the price of gold has kept increasing, the share price of Ariana has kept decreasing. It shouldn't be like that, but the figures do not lie. | jaf1948
13/9/2024 16:54 | Shortarm, Be careful what you wish for. 4 years ago, AAU share price was 6p and Gold was 2,000. Today, AAU share price is 1.8p and Gold is 2,583. | jaf1948
13/9/2024 16:00 | 2583 on the gold price!2600 next week ? | shortarm
13/9/2024 12:29 | I dare to suggest that someone who doesn't share the commonly held belief on here seems to be buying! | charles clore

13/9/2024 10:46 | AD06 submittedA company might open an overseas branch and register it for several strategic reasons, including: 1. Market Expansion: To access new markets and customers in a foreign country, making it easier to sell products or services locally. 2. Local Presence: Having a local branch can help build trust with customers, partners, and suppliers in that country, as it shows commitment to the region. 3. Regulatory Compliance: Some countries require businesses to have a registered local entity or branch to legally operate, sign contracts, or hire employees. 4. Cost Savings: Operating in a country with lower labor or production costs can lead to significant savings. 5. Tax Benefits: Some companies establish branches in countries with favorable tax regimes or treaties, allowing them to optimize their tax burden. 6. Talent Access: To tap into local talent pools, particularly in regions with specialized skills or lower labor costs. 7. Supply Chain Management: Being closer to suppliers or manufacturing hubs can streamline logistics and reduce costs. 8. Global Branding: Expanding internationally enhances the company's reputation and global footprint, leading to increased brand recognition. 9. Diversification: Operating in multiple regions allows a company to diversify its revenue streams and reduce dependency on a single market.Would you like more details on any of these reasons? | renniks2016
