TAM, that is exactly what those numbers are! NPV is a forward looking calculation based on the income (profit) discounted for inflation etc...

Must admit my accountancy skills are pretty basic, I had taken the $33.4 to be future capital expenditure to build the mine and processing with the $9.4 being additional expenditure over the mine life. Shows how little I know!

We really need an accountancy "head" to explain these figures, or another interview with Kerim that explains all to the none technical amongst us.

Any views out there always welcome.

would be very interesting to get a list of IRRs of AAU portofoglio projects...

and then concentrate on something - considering risk and size

Kaos, those figures are PEA and as said in the RNS - there is a lot more resource to come but it is already a better prospect than a lot of others!

in firms that i am invested in they all use NPV 10 + metric
and they all did recent financing in the range 12 - 17 % ... so they must be inferior to AAU

and capex of 33 to get net 27 /at 8%/ makes me hmmmm
