I know the assay offices are still on go slow but not on this scale or anywhere near it.
So who is holding the information and why?

So we can expect lots of flowery statements re investee companies, with few if any hard facts, as they are currently in prospecting/pre ipo stages. Which fits in nicely with the prospect of January Directors options at somewhere near todays share price Not particularly endearing but probably a necessity to set the company up for the next few years, the sooner its over the better.

Presumably it's as stated, being the 'investee' companies rather than core operations. Time will tell (very soon, hopefully).

From the recent update:"We look forward to providing updates on these exploration programmes in Turkey in the months ahead, including resource estimation at Tavsan and drilling results. We are also aiming to provide updates on the progress of our various investee companies prior to the end of this year."So by the sound of it, not Salinbas just yet.

It's easy enough with AAU. I'm 80% sure the share price tomorrow will not be higher than today.

Everything is a gamble Charles even AAU. Turkey is hardly the safest jurisdiction, Cyprus has it's own problems and Kosovo is starting to heat up again.

I agree - this company looks safe and secure but when will it be profitable for the investor. This time last year, the share mid-price was 4.1p, today it is 3.5p - even with part of the special dividend, that is still a loss on the year which is not exactly what I am looking for from an investment.

Yes, showing a decent profit. In and out around a couple of hundred deals over a period of years, a bit like a fiddlers elbow (a better expression than up and down like a pair of.....). I've ended up with a few million essentially gratis. Not doing that any more, just intend to sit on what I have, hence my recent interest in the IHT position. The spread is so large now that it puts me off continuing trading. I feel comfortable with this now as AAU seems undervalued and relatively risk free at least as far as the developed assets go. Plus the prospect of a divi. Could be some good things to come from Cyprus, Salibas/ Ardala and hopefully Project Leopard in future.

If I had a grand for every article I have read about gold going to $2500, $3000, $3500,..... I would have made far more money than I ever have from Ariana (to date at least, we all hope that will change next year)

I'm still here, just a quiet time of the year I guess... I would have a few for Christmas if they would lower the ask a little (my foreign account broker always manages to pay the full price!)
