It needs proper values assigning to our projects JAF to show how undervalued this is.
Even using a very discounted rate AAU ought to have at least 15-20m assigned to our Cyprus holdings. According to the figures this morning there is $1.6bn worth of gold to Ariana (900koz x $1800).
Let us hope when Venus float we can be given more of an idea of the value in the continued absence of a broker note.

I actually think the rns this morning was alright, the problem remains the broader promotion/marketing strategy that is just non existent.It's a bit like components on an F1 car, in isolation they are great, but if the car isn't moving forward fast enough in the first place they make no difference.

imho - economics must be explained first (energy getting expensive, ESG additional costs etc) - but I do not know anything but carrots to some degree

12.3Mt @ 0.27 to 0.57g/t gold.
If we use a mean figure of 0.42g/t of gold that is approx 1.8m oz or 900,000z currently to Ariana and that is without taking copper and other metals in to account and the market has totally ignored it.
I would imagine there is enough material here to run a very profitable mine for 20yrs.

My take on it is that the ore is already been extracted and milled for the copper and that to recover the gold from this makes it economical as most of the energy going into the process has already been done. The added gold credit just makes it more economical. A bit like the silver credit in red rabbit....

The AIM market really is dead at the moment, especially for resource stocks. All AAU can do is keep plugging away. It looks very cheap right now, but that's true across the whole sector. Frustrating

Due to my ignorance of mining, I am going to ask what might be a stupid question. Would it have been possible in the RNS to have had a sentence along the lines of 'and if all this happens, it would mean an additional £x p.a. for the next y years'.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the low grades are commercial with the cheap processing of heap leach? The gold and zinc will obviously help the economics.

cut off is hugely important in determining the profitability and resource size. specially as most resource copper is low grade - if you look at the tonnage

it can be true and very untrue all in the same data ....

and I do not understand it - at least I admit

I got my cut off grade for copper which is 0,2 %

and for gold the same....

The last cut off for economic gold that I saw was 0.6 % !!!!

hence ....

why using 0,2 % .... is it economical????

or maybe it is economic by mixing it with high grade ore and other minerals ????

the more I read ... the less I know :(

Not a bad opening paragraph.

This is an exceptional result and we are very proud of the Ariana and Venus teams having successfully completed the drilling programme and in pulling together this new resource estimate for Kokkinoyia. Not only has the overall tonnage increased by 240% but we have now successfully brought a significant part of the resources into the higher confidence Indicated category.
