Seems a nice low risk investment in safe jurisdictions with the spread of resources we want. Due diligence here will be as good as it gets given Kerim's Chairmanship. Darren the CEO is very enthusiastic and unlike Kerim encourages direct shareholder contact. I suspect many AAU shareholders will like this with a number of them already directly invested in PALM. Just my understanding of course. A plus for me.

Whilst I was hoping for this, its nice to see it happen, makes perfect sense, a great match and a foot hold in what I believe will be a huge opportunity. At some point the market will understand that we do not have all our eggs in one basket any more. Great news and the start of much more.

Panther, like AAU seem to have a lot going on, reading the last RNS from them, plenty of prospect in Canada, I'm sure Ariana could help there.

When you say other areas I assume you refer to panther, I see this as a positive as there will be exposure to opportunities which panther would like to explore but don't have our capital.

Looks like those who didn't get their dividend payment prompt have had the best deal!! Making the lump I acquired Friday look like a bad move, good job we have news to bring me back above the water line! (Hopefully)

Well a strange day, I put a limit order for 410k @ 4.51p and got them at 4.49p, I hope I didn't buy too early. I'm now half a million over my maximum limit, I know I won't regret it once the news starts flowing and the dividends keep being paid.

Anyone who has not yet received their dividend and intends to reinvest it in the company will be delighted by the abject performance of the stock today. If it goes to 4p before news I will be putting a decent chunk of mine back in here. The directors might be of the same mind, just watching and waiting...

I don't see any malice in the BoD's actions, nor do I think they are doing anything to hurt shareholders deliberately - as you say two of the biggest holders would not want to damage their own futures.

What I do feel is that they work to their own timetable, work on the projects and aspects that they are interested in and generally behave as if shareholders and corporate presentation are of only minor importance. That, IMO, is why the share price has stagnated for the past year or so.

Hargreaves Lansdown managed to credit clients on 24th albeit later in the day. This is their explanation:-"I can confirm a small portion of the cash for the Ariana Resources plc dividend, was received electronically in the morning, but the majority of the cash was received via Cheque. This would explain why the dividend took a little longer to be credited to your account." Who the hell still uses cheques in the financial industry. Unbelievable. Have become a third world country

Well they are two of the major shareholders and MDV isn't getting any younger as none of us are. It may appear that way but they hold £2m and £1m plus in shares so they are only going to make major money by share price increase as they don't pay themselves a lot compared to their peers. When you analyse those facts in the cold light of day then that should reassure you - it does me.

I've just been whingeing to Barclays about the delayed dividend. They confirm what has been previously said about not receiving it from the registrar, however now say that these registrar issues mean it could be up to 10 days late arriving in our accounts.

Ariana is by far the largest holding in my portfolio as I believe it will ultimately succeed despite itself but the company still appears, at least to me, that it is run by the BoD for the BoD.

I am not sure there is any intention to buy anything.
When the jv was complete I was certain we would see a pretty clear path of what the money was earmarked for. Instead it is as opaque as everything else.
Reading between the lines it seems the kosovo start up and Asgard ventures are the sum total of our expansion.
I am not sure they have the wherewithal or the inclination to take on anything else, especially with Kerims time taken up elsewhere.
Hope I am wrong.

A few people have complained that Kerim is being slow spending his money! Stratex (now ORR) got 25 million? For Oksut, bought a load of tosh and lost 90 plus percent of its value!Me - I'm quite happy he's waiting for the right thing to buy!!
