Just had a web chat with Barclays. This is what they said:

'We are still awaiting the cash from the company to pay to eligible shareholders. It can take a maximum of 10 business days from the pay date for the cash to reach your portfolio, so the latest you will receive the cash is 8th October.'

Not great service!

All those trades at 4.45 are buys so mms must have stored up on stock.

It's certainly not a get rich quick share, I see Salinbas drilling and Tavsan news a medium term but as you say it depends on your outlook. This is a long term investment for me and I will build my stake along the way knowing I will get a great compounded return over the years as and when plans come to fruition. There aren't many shares on my watch list with the safety and upside potential of AAU at the moment so my dividend has gone back in. It's boring but it's worked for me. Good luck to all whatever they do with their dividend, it's been a long year investment wise!

Still very little appetite for reinvesting the divvy by the looks of it which is surprising given today's statement. But I shouldn't question that as I still refuse to reinvest mine.

Briefly back to the thorny issue of the divi, has anybody received anything from Barclays yet? Not a bean here, I think it's been an appalling service by them. Is it now just Barclays that are letting their clients down?

It depends on your viewpoint. If you are are a long term holder, then it is exactly what you want to read. If, on the other hand, you are thinking of buying in to Ariana, it might make people wait until early next year.

in my thinking - having main operations in Turkey could turn from a "negative" into a positive - as the west slowly operationally disintegrates.

The authority will keep them efficiently operating (as long as they do their productive job - even communists here left productive people working - while I ask my self why it seems to me that in the democracies productive people are getting hindered/destroyed sometimes). Iran will provide them (cheap) energy etc

So - if SHTF full scale - Turkeys way might be our savior in the end

they have huge tradition, culture etc ....

what I like:

- Trevor123 !!!!! informed us - that team is with us. and is getting expanded. Kerim is building his own institute with all the corners being slowly covered. Proven efficient special operation force for the world wide deployment

- this team has the means to fight - licences around the world and cash to finance the operations

- Turkey is doing fine (thanks to the team), without Ozaltin even starting to perform

- if corporate communication can present "a clear cut product for the investors to buy into" - having history of achievements, cash, divi, detected opportunities, connections, risk diversity

future is very bright
