hmm one way or the other thought today would be a high volume day since its the last day to buy in (or sell off) before the dividend. So far seems not. This share sure hard to fathom

All the good news seems to just hold the price but life of mine extended reserves up tavsan likely to start 2022/3 50000 oz per year from then on plus Cyprus could add a good amount Of copper to the equationIf all goes well market cap could be 200 million I'm hanging around and take the dividends as I wait to see it unfold gla

probably too optimistic, but might it mean we do not see a retrace when it goes ex-div.

after all we have not seen a run up in the share price (unless it happens tomorrow). in fact quite the opposite, it has already come off from recent levels by about 0.5p, which is more than the div amount.

Ariana doesn't behave like normal shares. Here we have a generous 7% payout where investors have been given an unbelievable length of time to sort out their affairs (2 tax years) That is get the shares into an ISA or SIPP to avoid tax. In normal circumstances the share price would rise into the ex dividend date strongly as buyers join us or add to take advantage of the payout. But here we are still languishing below 5p and we'll off the highs.

TAM - do you suspect that a substantial short position is in place in AAU? Im Not so sure personally. I think the selling is almost entirely down to disgruntled long term holders

Forget my previous post, it appears the shorter is responsible for paying any dividend to the stocks owner.

Apologies for that, it has enlightend me a little on shorting rules however.

I have my suspicions about recent (including todays) large sells.

If they are shorts they will be hoping to buy back ex dividend and make a quick killing (10%???).

Whoever loans the stock doesnt get the divi either, they must be mad.

If anyone understands long/short practice (i am not sure i do) and disagrees let me know.

Hi all, I have updated the header it was a bit rushed so as usual there are no doubt mistakes that you can point out. I'll happily sort them as soon as I can if you let me know by message or on the board.

Biggles - if it works out as you suggest the market cap of the company would be valued on cash alone with free carry of several long life producing assets. At that stage PG, YJ and the market would be silly to continue ignoring us. I am Looking forward to more news in the short term including in particular Salinbas drilling and Eastern European developments which should give a kick to the share price.

Correct me if I'm wrong (on the Turbo so can't check) but the investors Q&A Kerim was asked to put the projects in order of return and I was intrigued I see Cyprus was one of the earliest. My take from that is the same as yours that Cyprus was being looked at as a prove up and sale project

Well I look at this as a fully funded explorer and if drill results come in as they historically have many with start to view this as such. The production will fund the many project to come which we don't yet know about. I believe it's KSs idea to put them in a nice bow and sell them on. I'm wondering if this is what's going to happen in Cyprus . If it is then my theory would come to fruition. It's what I'd do to realize shareholder value.

Very well put, it's like the market either looks at a jr miner as either a discovery play where share price reacts to drill results or a producer. We are in a unique position of being both however it seems we are treated exclusively like a producer who's production is down year over year. And the share price has reacted as such

The way I see it, for new investors this is not any easy co. to put a true value on.

Annual accounts show a profit that reflects the current share price , annual currency conversion costs are one downer that irks somewhat.

Then there are the sale of assets built up over several years, the recent deal is one example, the Aussie Lythium is another. To my mind the value of these are thrown in for free and that is what is holding us back. We need more of a regular occurrence of these over time in order that they become so obvious that they can no longer be ignored.

The time will come but until then we are stuck where we are.

Yes it is indeed admirable but I would be happier if they made it clear how good and cheap the company was in the usual way by promotion.
I think you know what I am saying ;-)

Ha ha soul what you like. You have to respect £60m holding and adding , KS adding 160k and sang stern and Payne exercising without sale. Very positive in my book.
