20/7/2021 11:40 | Not sure about a cash shell. A simple response would have ended the discussion. Group structure AAU (UK) 100% Ariana Exploration & Development (UK) 100% Portswood Resources (British Virgin Isles) 100% Galata Madencilik San VE Tic (Turkey) 50%/23.5% Zenit (Turkey) | xow98
20/7/2021 11:33 | Soul, 'today I lost more trust in the company'. That sums up my feelings perfectly. I managed to catch the last ten minutes of the meeting and to me Kerim came over as almost indifferent in the image he is making for this company. For example, in over a year and a half, how could they not manage to say that the dividend, like Gaul, would be divided into three parts (for people who didn't learn latin at school, see the first line of Caesar's Gallic Wars Part 1). Ariana will do well over the next few years but it is no longer the company that I invested in at the start. I will keep an investment in here but nothing like the amount I have today. | jaf1948
20/7/2021 11:32 | So the promised almost 50% of the deal in Special Dividends now becomes 37% and this being spread over a period of a year or more.Trust...what trust. | 8rad
20/7/2021 11:31 | Endless possibilities with this company, accompanied by never ending small fluctuations in the share price. Management, do please keep up the good work of creating confusion amongst the retail investors ! I shouldn't really laugh as I have a small holding here. | corrientes
20/7/2021 11:23 | So out of the 27m sterling from the transactions:- 3.6m to be paid sometime in q3 (so between now and 30th Sept) 1.8m to be paid 6 months after (so between 20th Jan and 30th Mar 22) and 1.8m to be paid IF it gets passed at 'next years' AGM. SO the question is what exactly is happening with the other money? If this is invested right they will have made most of that final tranche in interest payments. Look forward to the next 10yrs, I doubt most of us will still be left holding then. I have been here most of the 15yrs already and today I lost more trust in the company. | soulsauce
20/7/2021 11:14 | Possible the cash remains in some kind of shell company in Turkey to be tax compliant. | johnswan193
20/7/2021 11:12 | Not sure how tax advantages in Turkey impact on the divestment as KS confirmed proceeds have been received in full (other than satellite sales). One would assume earlier of agreement signature date or funds receipt would trigger a taxable transaction. No response to the 0.7p question. Responding to the PR question they said they communicate quickly and fully via RNS, but that is a statutory requirement, promotion is a different thing. Not explaining the tax advantages, even briefly, nor explaining the 0.7p is not full communication. | xow98
20/7/2021 11:08 | they got all thecash - which I asked this mornig - partially in advance??? if there is a staged (for the tax reasons) assets transfer how come did they get the cash already? - they probably did not get all the cash confused | kaos3
20/7/2021 11:05 | John, it's a shame they never thought to mention it previously that it would be better paying in tranches for tax implications - hmmmm. | soulsauce
20/7/2021 11:05 | he answered most of my Qs - in a straight fashion. good job and thank you. Asgard was there already - they are just using it. JV divis are not guaranteed as AAU has not definite guaranty to be paid the divi - as it depends on voting. But in normal world that is a goal for all. JV squeeze out - JDV mentioned some legal assurances - but that was all. In time when all is great (lets say in 5 years) there is no need for further AAU involvement (eg - service fees to AAU) - hence the Q. Also divi can be voted. And transfer prices do exist I heard. | kaos3
20/7/2021 10:58 | Plasybryn you was right it will be voted on next year, laughable. | soulsauce
20/7/2021 10:55 | Being very selective with the questions and did not provide a full answer on the breakdown of how they arrived at 0.7p. | soulsauce
20/7/2021 10:54 | Relates to divestment of assets, must be some kind of tiered tax structure. They were quite matter of fact about it, and noted that they don't take any decisions lightly so IMO the approach was well thought out and for the best for the company and its shareholders. | johnswan193
20/7/2021 10:53 | Do we know what the tax advantages are? | xow98
20/7/2021 10:51 | Tax advantages are the rationale for splitting up the special dividend | d1g3y
20/7/2021 10:51 | Tax advantages in Turkey for the company is the reason for div being done in tranches. | johnswan193
20/7/2021 10:27 | Tavsan in production 2023... Salinbas in production 2025... Would be very happy if they managed that. Big if though. | lottsgold
20/7/2021 10:27 | From a Mining Maven... "But perhaps most importantly, the company's market capitalisation has already climbed from a couple of million pounds to almost £55 million at the time of writing". This sort of thing irks terribly, yes the mcap has increased but back then the share price was around 12p. They forgot to mention the dilution! | dixi
20/7/2021 10:17 | Now how am I going to pay for my new Callaway apex golf irons ??? 😂 | millwallfan
20/7/2021 10:14 | The miningmaven article is simply bought PR - there's nothing new or different about AAU's strategy as fad as i can see- they dig for precious metals, develop mining operations and sometimes do it in collaboration. Turkey's been a good focus for Kerim given his background and contacts in-country. I hope he explains the 'strategy' going forward in a convincing way today. I still hold because I think its undervalued and probably unlikely to fall much further on balance of probabilities. And I like gold and cash. But if we want to grow much further I think we need a wise old owl to take over as Chair of the Board and from time to time guide Kerim as CEO to seething through the eyes of us pi's. and institutional investors | swindon41
20/7/2021 09:59 | Anyone got NS's article re dividend to share? | 1candc
20/7/2021 09:56 | Exactly...when does it go ex-div? We should have been told this morning. | 8rad
20/7/2021 09:50 | This way it is not repaying loyal shareholders as was the wording used by Kerim. If it is not set up correctly it will allow any old shareholder to dip in and out so it should have a closing date of today. | soulsauce
20/7/2021 09:43 | It would have been better to have described it as a special dividend and then the start of regular dividends. Or just start regular dividends without all the talk. If they only want to pay out 0.35p, fine, but don't raise expectations. | zangdook
20/7/2021 09:43 | zedder that ship has sailed, CHF is on to much bigger things now with big backers. | soulsauce |
