konil, I cant find it either, tried search of internet also but no joy. The search facilities on the official court site is not great either. I suspect it went via the Insolvency and companies lists.

Having seemingly just had about 440k of sells at 4.975, I can still sell 500k at 4.975. Its a funny old business.

Of course, if it is NOT a large background seller, then it might just be traders coming in and out. If that is the case, then it could go on for quite a while.

I have to admit that I have no idea what is causing all these sells. I do know, however, that there is nothing I can do about it !

There has been a lot of churn around the 5p mark. Lots of new holders coming in to wait for the share price to double...!Was like this at 1p and then 2p!When the sells stop it's going to rise quite quickly I imagine!

Well more no malice to their residual holdings I'd suggest

Soul - the trouble is that large investors don't want to pay the going market price. Or they want add-ons like warrants. They missed the boat when the company needed them and now, despite AAU's very impressive achievements, their absence makes smaller investors nervous. They look at the company and think that if no institutions are invested there must be something wrong with it. There will be a huge increase in interest imho when the dividend policy is tabled

I really don't understand it 5huu. Kerim must have his reasons but in the 6yrs+ PG have been the 'broker' of choice (cough), I have seen diddly squat for the premium price we probably pay them.

Dead right Soul, but how many times have we said that over the last years. The penny should be dropping here, and it will eventually, but not before some long termers have gone grey and AAU have wasted time and money on useless brokers that add nothing to the company. Zero.

Thanks for the confirmation. Will be interesting to see if the theory pans out. If a large proportion of 40 million shares have been offloaded and the price has only fallen just over a penny from its highs that would defo give a large amount of confidence

Hmmmm sounds like the kind of thing where Panmure Gordon could have earned their corn and found a placee for those shares.
What am I saying, that would mean them actually doing something for AAU and it's shareholders 😄

Biggles - so a purely 'friendly' disposal then with no malice intended to innocent bystanders lol.

No think Bruce Rowan owned around 24 million which is inn16/17 annual report and less than 3% so no need to report. Starvest owned 17m they have said they've reduced in a recent rns and their ex chairman was Bruce Rowan. My logic which may be flawed is why would Starvest sell unless they know that there is a big seller going to suppress the price? It's not a huge leap to assume they are familiar with people associated with their deceased chairman. Rowan died in oct 19 or there abouts and assume 9 months to sort large estate and selling began around sept 2020. All this is pure conjecture and Bruce Rowans estate may be named in shareholders section of account due out but its my logic. If it's not them then may be another large holder whii ok s trying to offload without affecting the value of the residual shares they hold.

Boggles am I right in saying the assumption is the estate held about 37 million shares?Apologies if I have picked that up incorrectly. If it was in that region would we not get an RNS about a drop below 3%?

Simple they don't care about the stock increasing but with a large holding then if they dump stock they will only be able to sell small percentage of their holding which would result in the bulk of their holding diminishing. To clarify they don't care about staying for increased returns they are selling at this price. It's probably in hands of a broker who have been given parameters. So I'd argue no flaw in the logic.

Biggles,

Surely you have highlighted the flaw in your own logic. If the seller doesn't really care, then why not dump the lot in a few large amounts - why would they try and keep the share price steady and drag it out for over a year ?
