You never know we could also get lucky PoG might start to turnaround giving us a following wind as we announce a down deal.

And a fair few of us are in a lot lower so sitting on nice gains to ease the journey.

I live in hope.

This is true. Any grand plans are limited until the deal is done - which I am thinking will be this month.

In the meantime we are still throwing off cash. Keep the faith.

Ha ha we all have days like this and mining is notorious for taking time, it's very difficult that's why only one in one hundred companies progress to where Ariana are. We I'm cheesed of I reassess the fundamentals and I am totally comfortable where we are. There's been a seller or two one of which is Starvest who held 17 m. Their ex chairman Bruce rowen died recently and held 20m. Starvest confirmed they reduced their holding last year I don't know by how much or if they have continued. My guess is are large chunk of selling is down to these sources. When shares are sold the price is going to suffer which creates question marks. I have said many times the fundamentals are excellent and I believe selling is unrelated to future of the company but capital requirements of certain investors or beneficiaries. Yes I don't believe they market the story well enough but totally comfortable here.

The most annoying thing is that while ever we don't have the money any plans for new assets etc is on hold.

I was excited about the Ozaltin deal but it has dragged on so much that all the excitement has disappeared. If Venus takes as long to show signs of life as the Ozaltin deal a) I will probably be dead or b) the world won't need copper anymore and electric vehicles will be obsolescent! Maybe I'm being a little pessimistic but I'm getting well and truly cheesed off here. No wonder people are selling off lately. Get a move on Kerim FFS!

They have a resource which is the only one in Cyprus declared in last 50 years so it's a start. I know KS is very excited about the drilling propositions.

An alternative might be a Salinbas type arrangement, ie retain a 25% stake with no future costs to incur.

The challenge in Cyprus will be to find something big enough to interest mining companies with deep pockets. Finding VMS deposits is to be expected, but they have a (mostly justified) reputation for being relatively small. A beneficial configuration of several deposits or just one exceptional deposit may be needed. Clever detective work could help, but some amount of luck will also be required. As is normal in exploration.

That's my take too. If a was Kerim I'd look at doing an Asgard but on a bigger scale. Invest then exit realizing much cash in the process. This is what Chesterfield Resources have intimated they would do, why not with Venus??. Asgard went from £35k investment to £3.5m crystallisation of shares for those relative newbies to the stock.

Looking ahead, if the prospecting leads to decent copper discoveries I dont see AAU initiating mining/production, much to capital intensive. More likely any Cu mountains will be sold on allowing Ariana to cash in and move on to pastures new.

I think the market is just so short term at the moment Ariana Doesn't excite, once news starts flowing we will be on an upward trajectory until then sellers are trading positions to try and earn the quick money that's around. Fair play to them, we will have our day soon enough.

Chart looking weak despite "Company clarifications" and the perma bulls are losing/have lost their credibilty.

I suspect most have been selling into their ramps.

As we all know, markets price shares not only on their fundamentals but more on their future prospects. The drop of nearly a third in the share price in 4 months tends to suggest the market does not see a great short-term future here.

I think they are wrong, as do most people on here. But without any encouragement from the company itself, we are not going to move any higher.

The golden element is time though Charles. This "These people will regret their sells" has been going on since the price was in the high fives. Here we are months later and those people have the option to buy them back at 20/25% discount. Not sure they regret it and don't think you can be sure anyone selling now will either. Absolutely no momentum here ultimately.

It's almost as if the market doesn't believe the company is grossly undervalued on fundamentals. I think some individuals are soon going to be very disappointed with their decision to sell.

The relentless selling keeps on grinding the price down, hard to get traction against that selling backdrop, some positive news is sorely needed

You would not necessarily elevate to board as the skills to run a company are not that same as the skills to explore. Admittedly KS has proved he has both but there needs to be a tie in and I'm sure they are aware.

If Zack is as important as we think he is then maybe he needs to be 'elevated' to the BOD? That way there is quite an incentive for him to stay with the company

Trommel1, I may or may not agree with you, but as an old timer of 5 years in AAU who still holds >1m, I like to hear thoughtful none mainstream, and critical views of the company direction or company behaviour.

They may not all be valid, but it helps keeps investors and possibly the company on their toes :)

Yes knew the company couldn't buy forgot the bit about directors taking up the shares. Which does show how loyal they are to workforce. Their word is their bond or words to that effect.

Biggles - Ariana bought 4.5M shares in 2019. then they found out they could not do that and the bod rook up the shares.

Nice post. All accurate and excellent story. My frustration is they need to tell it. I'd like to see a document which put simply any new investor could reference to see what they've done where they are and where they are going. I know but new investors simply don't and without trawling trough seven years of rnss can't fully appreciate the achievements.

Interesting to see Zack has been in Macedonia for Matrix, no doubt he will be working his magic on a model of some sort, one thing you cannot knock about all involved is their work ethic, commitment and efficiency, considering what they have achieved in the last couple of years, what they have put together in relation to the JV, Venus, Salinbas, second mine, expansion of capacity at existing, it’s nothing short of miraculous, and that would be without 12 months of COVID to deal with. Anyone here thinking we have a BOD who’s been tossing it off (as many do in their position) should look a bit deeper into what is going on, transformational is a word used far to often, with many underachievers, AAU will restore the proper meaning of the word this year, the impatient ones will moan and groan along the way, and sell on each jump with news, until a new guard takes over the mantle, to reap the rewards that will be delivered by an exceptional bunch of geological wizards, who will soon have the cash to do what they are so good at. All imho ! Happy with everything going on with this company, and I will be accumulating as long as I feel this way.
