Thank you all for sharing your insight! it is always great to see & hear the thought process and opinions of other investors. For me, I agree that looking for the management team to have some skin in the game is very important. I also believe you can never beat face to face with someone for getting a true gauge and gut feeling for their character. I agree that the over-promising and under delivering repeatedly is a red flag. Finally, whilst I think it is extremely valuable to look at the managers past performance, I believe it is also valuable to look at their vision for the company's future. After all, you could have the best captain in the world, but if they have no vision as to where the ship should be sailing, little is achieved. This is why I find it particularly exciting with Kerim setting his vision on Cyprus and beyond.

I think the importance of looking at the management team in great detail can often be overlooked by young & less experienced investors, so it is something I am going to make a note of continuing to do.

Best wishes to all.

FWIW at around the same time 3 PIs went to Azerbaijan to look at the AAZ mines and had a similarly positive experience. When you are effectively buying a hole in the ground in a foreign country that sort of firsthand experience really gives others confidence So thanks biggles for doing the hard work!

The whites of their eyes when you ask direct difficult questions. Many on here will know I spent a day travelling to the mine , 15 hours with management on a tour , meal etc then spent a day travelling back. However it was worth it to discuss all topics and see how they tick. Kerim comes across quite matter of fact when he does his interviews but he's extremely enthusiastic and confident on one to one. Zac can hardly contain himself when he discusses the prospects of salinbas ect. The visit in Oct 18 didn't provide anything factual which wasn't available to the market but it showed the true potential felt by everyone about their assets.

Evening Bonehanmer, for me I look out for management with skin in the game so They are aligned with shareholders. I also like to hear realistic targets which are pretty much always met. There are many who will hype up their business just to get the price up for a placing. If you watch enough interviews and tally those with RNS' of the time you will start to see patterns. Just remember Aim isn't the FTSE100 and there are plenty of companies out there set up just to fund the managements lifestyles. I'm also youngish....33 but have been researching and learning aim for 6-7 years. Some of the others here and on the AAZ (Wanobi's board) are very experienced helpful guys. Thanks to them and a lot of homework i'm on the way to changing my life. It's worth investing the time and listening.

Evening all, I am an irregular poster here, but have been invested since January. I suspect I am also one of younger investors here and I am relatively new to the investing realm. With that said I read this board daily and do enjoy learning from the regulars and more experienced investors. CSSF I noticed you mentioned that you look for sound management. I would love to hear others views on how to determine whether the board/management is sound and worthy of investment? are there certain things you look for in their actions, experience, regularity of updates etc?

I like JLP's model as well. Processing tailings can be very profitable.

Worth going over to chipperfrd's board (CHIP) which has various pieces of information comparing gold miners.

Will do Alwaysrevolving, thanks. Open to anything with sound management, small and multi-potential ahead of the upcoming scramble in precious metals equities. Really appreciate all of the tips.

Crossfire, you may want to swing your magnifying glass over Jubilee Metals (JLP) it’s been a very long Road there but things starting to really come together. Expecting great numbers in August.

I do like the potential at palm too, may join the Kerim following lots of potential there and safely say I trust Kerims judgment. The extra cash I had for here may go there later this week so don't push the price up too much please:)

Yes CSSF Panther Metals, a microcap with lots of acreage in Canada and Australia, and Kerim just loves the old Annaburroo.

Kirbs well done with PUR, I am hoping PALM may be another PUR in the making. It's certainly in the same ball park ;-)

I didn't realise Kerim was involved with PALM (Panther, right?). I get the HUM thing Charles, agreed. ALTN I know not a lot about. Geez, sorry for confusing the board. So many sweeties in the Sweety shop. :o)
