shanur90 - we have discussed the possibility the declining price from 2.6p might be something to do with MTR selling. Would be very happy if it was them and they've finished!

Hi I know mtr have been selling keeping this down but past few days the selling has dried up and I've heard they have stopped selling now. Anyone have any idea what the situation was and is

As expected AAU has today hit 2.2p.
This is around the technically required area for the bounce.
The downward move is likely to resume from around this area next week.

Yes, well I was mocking you, somewhat surprisingly that seems to have been misunderstood and has resulted in you offering a lengthy lecture. On that basis (I gave up reading your response) I'll bid you farewell, and leave you to ramble on...and on....and on......

The point I was making about petrol and groceries is this.
If your local petrol station had a 20% discount on fuel or your local supermarket had everything on offer, you'd probably fill the car up or stock your kitchen cupboards to the brim.
When stocks fall in price, however, there are fewer takers, not more of them.
More people are interested in stocks as they become more expensive. This is counter-intuitive.
This is not what we experience in everyday life with 'value' assets like food.
I made the point to soulsource that this is because investors don't know what the value of a stock is.
If a trader in AAU sold a small amount of shares tomorrow, the value of all other holders investment would fall. Because of the herding effect, we could see a domino effect and a large fall in market cap as a result of the selling of a very limited amount of stock.
And yet the economics or the fundamentals of the company wouldn't have altered.
So I was really saying to soulsource...don't blame the directors for something that's out of their hands.

Gold has broken out of a 6 year ‘bowl’. $1370>or thereabouts was the critical resistance and the break out was ‘decisive̵7;. Technically it’s now in overbought territory and it wouldn’t surprise me to see a couple of nasty down days back to $1420 area to back test resistance. The key things to look at are the 50day and 200 day simple moving averages. The 200 day is key for long term trends. We are now well ahead of the 200:which makes me think we will drop back toward it at some point. Longer term, next 2-3 years I expect gold to breach previous highs as the ‘bubble of everything’ pops...

JD - you know, there's one thing about this board. It's one of the most friendly and supportive on advfn but occasionally we do get visitors who wind people up. They can't help it and from my experience they don't seem to care how their comments make the regulars feel. If he was slagging off the company I would normally filter the blighter but his posts are usually of a more general nature and there's something arrogantly genuine about this character's posts that stops me. I think he believes what he says actually HELPS PEOPLE and if you read carefully enough you can even find the occasional pearl of truth shining through. I think most people here value your input and I would be sorry to see you go. So how about trying the filter first? Meanwhile here's a little video for you.

JD, why would you let him drive you out ? Its simple put him on filter. Otherwise he wins. You cannot possibly take him seriously. You know he is trying to wind you up, while at the same time sow doubts in your mind regarding AAU and pm's.

Overall i think you guys a doing a good job at passing him around like a grubby old rugby ball !!

2tyke, I have to buy fuel and groceries like everybody else, but where do you buy yours from? Mine seem get more expensive, yet I still have to buy them, which you appear to be suggesting most people do not do as they only buy shares as they increase in price. Or was your example not a very good example?

Well may be 2tyke but if you are going to continually talk down to people every time they post and rubbish their ideas while in the process making out your posts are the only ones that are correct then what do you expect.

You are part way there but the reality is somewhat more complex, especially when you consider individual stocks. Keep going for another 20 years or so and you will understand it more fully.
