27/8/2019 16:03 | FFS 2tyke, we could learn the directors were having lasagne for tea and you would say it supported your theories. Shut up and go away | jaynesdad
27/8/2019 16:01 | 2tyke - where did you say gold was heading today? $1520 wasn't it? Just passed $1535 on an upward trajectory. | charles clore
27/8/2019 15:58 | plas - great post. Your idea of getting another broker to issue a note is inspirational and I wonder why the company hasn't already done it. If PG can't get us from obscurity to where we need to be, even with the company's oustanding operational and financial performance, then they clearly are not the right broker for AAU. This issue needs to be addressed swiftly imho in the interest of sanity. | charles clore
27/8/2019 15:57 | Bit harsh deacon! Depends on your definition of impressive but WP has about 9.5m, KS has about 19.5m and MDV has about 55m out of a totally issued 1055m. | jaynesdad
27/8/2019 15:53 | thedeacon Director buying would again be a sign of a major imminent top in gold and gold stocks. Investors talking about 'undervaluation' are merely talking their own book. The market is always right on price.....best not to confuse opinion....with fact. | 2tyke
27/8/2019 15:49 | Excellent post Plas. | soulsauce
27/8/2019 15:29 | It would be nice to see the director's trying to do something about the undervaluation imo. They seem very laissez-faire regarding the valuation and the threat that poses to a hostile take-over. And yes I could see the attraction to them of taking it private. Could they raise that sort of funding? Not sure. But surely all private shareholders have got to be asking what is the Co's strategy to move us to a fair valuation. What are Yellow Jersey proposing? And why can't Panmure Gordon convince Institutional Investors that this is a bargain, even if it doesn't meet the Investors normal investment criteria. Come on where is the Ariana with Attitude we were promised? I suspect there is some good RNS news due between now and Christmas which the Co. need to communicate with a bit more sappiness. Quoting some facts/ratio's etc. which underline the value disconnect, wouldn't go amiss. And perhaps more director buying. Can we sort out the mechanism to acquire our own shares? What about getting an Independent Broker to issue a Note? This Co. is too good in so many ways to continue to go unnoticed. | plasybryn
27/8/2019 15:27 | The Deacon I would imagine it is a closed period. | soulsauce
27/8/2019 15:26 | Don't agree with that bigglesbingham. Yes it may have been right to have expected some consolidation but not for this long and this deep against the gold trend. It already consolidated a lot on the way up and as dixi alludes to it came from artificial low levels. It's all very odd imo but acting very much as it did the last time gold went these levels and above. Thing is we weren't producing then. | soulsauce
27/8/2019 15:25 | Would be welcome to see some buys from the management team. Unsure of their holdings, but I don't think any are particularly impressive if memory recalls. Would send the right message at a time when gold backdrop is strong and market participants are looking for undervalued plays | the deacon
27/8/2019 15:21 | biggles - it's nice to know that the company is grossly undervalued on fundamentals and yet, as a reasonably long term shareholder I am disappointed in the share price performance. There has to be a reason for poor price performance and it could be one of confidence and trust, although I have to say over the past 2 years since Kizi went into production Kerim and the board have proved themselves to be capable of an absolutely first class track record. So I wonder what's holding it back? Imho this has no choice but to break upwards very soon. | charles clore
27/8/2019 15:01 | The volatility doesn't really bother me, if it did I wouldn't sleep. Facts and fundamentals as I keep harping on about are important to me. | bigglesbingham
27/8/2019 14:59 | Point is it didn't , but it has over last twelve months. Allowed me to increase holding though. | bigglesbingham
27/8/2019 14:49 | Biggles, good to reiterate the point about the intention regarding repayments of the Tavsan debt, which I know to be true as it has come up in presentations. Tavsan debt will not be repayable until that pit is in production. Therefore AAU will have free cash from 4/20 onwards, with no question of Kiziltepe income being used for repayments on the debt related to the Tavsan plant. So, depending on PM prices and the exact timng of Tavsan development we can look forward to £12m pa free cash from 4/20 for 2-3 years followed by £26m pa till the gold runs out. All for a MC of £20m....and we are down again, bid at 1.93 | jaynesdad
27/8/2019 14:49 | That steep climb should have happened years ago - AAU should be on at least the next leg up. Just my humble opinion :-) | dixi
27/8/2019 14:28 | Sentiment and profit taking after a very steep climb of 100% over less than a year! When profits increase at such a rate one can only expect a pull back especially in a quiet month re rnss holidays etc. If you look beyond the charts , sentiment etc. The company has never been in a better position. If people want to chase the rainbow elsewhere then fine . Yes I'd like new brokers, yes I'd like the rnss to be a little more shareholder friendly, yes I'd like clarity regarding alternative investments but the company is set on solid foundations and for a reasonably large investment , that suits me. I'll have a flutter on 3x leveraged gold and silver but those will be limited plays. Quarterlies I'd expect this week but with a more important indication of current debt position and current production. I'm expecting tarsvan to be funded by debt but repayments starting when mine operational ie 2021, Salinbas aided by JV monetary injection. This leaves significant free float 2020 onwards at which point someone will come in and take AAU out or share price Rises gradually to in excess of 3-4p. Just my thoughts for what they are worth. | bigglesbingham
27/8/2019 14:16 | He won't I got out after the trade was 10% higher. But pleased for AAU as adds to fundamentals | bigglesbingham
27/8/2019 14:16 | Sentiment on silver is increasing...just passed $18 per ounce! | skara brae
27/8/2019 14:13 | Silver showing a good rise, Biggles will be pleased. | thanksamillion
27/8/2019 13:19 | backmarker, arguably we are overdue them! JC, I see what you say you say about short term sentiment and long term fundamentals but the short term sentiment is dragging on over a very considerable period encompassing substantial positive change both for the company and POG. Can we call it medium term sentiment? | jaynesdad
27/8/2019 12:43 | are we due some Q2 financials ? | backmarker
27/8/2019 12:20 | Wow, you is like major clevver innit! | shortarm
27/8/2019 12:20 | 2tyke, Well, they do at least back up their viewpoints. It would be good to see a basis for yours. | jc2706
27/8/2019 12:13 | Goldenshare There is absolutely nothing unusual or wrong in AAU falling as gold rises. Looking at the chart, it's exactly what i'd expect. Although I would expect AAU to bounce back towards 2.2 before long, before continuing downwards. Jc Interesting that you've been studying technical viewpoints. The thing to remember is that most of them will also be caught out at a major turning point. So they should be expecting a short-term fall followed by a long-term rise....just the opposite to what's happening. | 2tyke |
