06/8/2019 13:07 | No excuse not to do it then mcmather. I thought in one of the recent camera pieces though it alluded to further permissions. | soulsauce
06/8/2019 13:00 | Found it; RNS 14 May 2019: Ardala Licence Forestry Permits Forestry permits enabling up to 10,000m of drilling were granted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and have now been assigned locally to the operating subsidiary Pontid Madencilik San. ve Tic. Ltd. Site preparation, including road-building for the purposes of the drilling programme is underway. In addition, existing roads have been made ready for further drilling in the trial mining area and the vicinity of the Ardala Porphyry and to enable access for heavy machinery for the purposes of further trial mining. | mcmather
06/8/2019 12:32 | Sonoftherock it would may be make sense to concentrate on one area they think they could jv quickly and prove that up. mcmather my understanding was they only had the permits for the initial programme of 2000m as there would be no reason not to do another spell of drilling as we know they now have a slush fund. | soulsauce
06/8/2019 12:09 | Soul, I'm pretty certain they've got permitting (10,000m) for Ardala; think when KS was discussing the recent results, he was on about having to secure additional permitting to further explore those results / thst area?? But far from clear and that's why I reckon we need to hear from AAU re their additional thoughts re the 2000m drilled and what their plans are now. | mcmather
06/8/2019 12:08 | I agree soulsauce, but there's a chicken and egg element here. They will struggle to find anyone who would be willing to fork out serious money for an "exploration target". Firming up what's really there makes sense but to do that we need to drill lots more and spend lots more. It doesn't seem that will happen anytime soon. Companies that are interested at this stage would be looking for very favourable terms IMO. | sonoftherock
06/8/2019 10:49 | I don't see the possibility of Tavsan being funded from cash flow - to generate sufficient cash post April 2020 to build the plant over the following 12 month period (I hope!) is a big ask. I agree it is theoretically possibly provided POG didn't drop part way through the works but I don't think the BOD will do that provided a loan is available on reasonable terms - self funding would also leave the company starved of exploration funds unless we saw $2000 POG! I am not aware of any further drilling this year at Salinbas, but others better informed may correct me. There is a question of permitting, also we are well on in the year now and while we all think of Turkey as wall to wall sunshine their winters can be wet and bleak! | jaynesdad
06/8/2019 10:43 | I know, but 40% in this market is not great in my view. I'm looking for 5 - 10 baggers.. :-) Salinbas looks like the only chance of this 5-10 bagging, in my view, and if they don't drill it enough, or get someone else to drill it - it won't happen! All in my humble opinion of course, and I could be completely wrong and it 5 bags next week on something left field - hope so, as I am a holder. I hold a number of free shares here after top-slicing on a double, but I am not buying anymore due to what I see as woeful inaction on Salinbas. If they can't afford to drill it then JV it ffs! - 30% of a lot is a lot, 100% of no value is no value! :-/ | goldenshare888
06/8/2019 10:40 | gs888 - most people would consider 40% upside in 5 months as pretty good. | charles clore
06/8/2019 10:26 | I don't believe that there are any plans for Salinbas this year! - Thats the main problem I have with this lot. If Salinbas not progressed this year I only see max potential here as 3p. :-/ | goldenshare888
06/8/2019 00:32 | Fears of a US-China trade war sent shudders through US and European stock markets on Monday, with Wall Street recording its worse day of 2019......Gold was trading at more than a six-year high on Monday, as investors put money into so-called safe haven assets; Tavsan cost previously estimated @ $20m. If gold goes to $1700 and mine is not started till after the original loan paid off, potential to fund it themselves without loan and still be able to pay for Salinbas drilling. However, obvious danger is if gold then dropped so loan the best route for me. Still need to hear more re Salinbas results / plans for rest of the year. | mcmather
05/8/2019 23:18 | Charles fair play, I never let a year go by without a 100% gain across the whole portfolio, O yes I do loose on some but make some big gains on others to counter balance it AAZ is a prime example am 110% up in 10 months so far and still holding. Will continue to hold whilst gold is on a bull run, the first signs of a pull back will sell. | cinoib
05/8/2019 22:48 | Can't argue with that bigglesbingham. Excellent post. | soulsauce
05/8/2019 21:31 | Plas I wouldn't hold 3% of the stock if I wasn't happy with the company's fundamentals. I was merely expressing a preference to sell the asset rather than produce ourselves. The timescale to get red rabbit operational was nearly ten years and we've seen the share price is nowhere near fully valued (and significantly lower than it was six years ago) although I believe an uplift / retake due as we pay off debt. What I didnt say in my post which I have always advocated is we need to know what we are selling as we don't want to sell cheap. So obviously we need to explore further but my personal preference would be to sell asset once we know what's there. Going alone is a timescale which could be another ten years before the value of salinbas is realised. That may be good for Kerim but for MDV i'd question whether he's got the inclination to wait ten years to realise salinbas' true potential. All the above is conjecture and personal opinion and not a result of any direct questions to the company. Cheers | bigglesbingham
05/8/2019 21:18 | Soul...not wholly taken by a small dividend...any fartarsical divi will do here. | 8rad
05/8/2019 20:46 | That is my understanding JaynesDad. But I agree rjwoodrjwood that an Institutional Investor could possibly come in as part of the Salinbas exploration strategy. I think Biggles might have been hinting at this earlier. It's possible we won't need to borrow so much for Tavsan the way free cash flow will be going once the loan is repaid and given the increasing profit margin. Just imagine what happens if silver really takes off as well. | plasybryn
05/8/2019 20:28 | I may be proved wrong (as is often the case) but I doubt there will be an equity raise for Tavsan. The BOD have already talked about a bank loan and implied that the current lenders are more than happy to off a further loan | jaynesdad
05/8/2019 19:58 | If there is an equity call to fund Tavsan then we may find we suddenly have some institutional investors aboard, my personal view is that they would rather wait for a discounted entry, rather than try to buy a large holding on the open market, and risk takeover fever breaking out! | rjwoodrjwood
05/8/2019 17:42 | Gold at $1,464. Luvverly jubbly | nov31
05/8/2019 17:41 | The share price has managed to stay above the support line, only just. Let's hope it continues. | vatnabrekk
05/8/2019 16:43 | They are a family run business who don't go shouting from the rooftops. I wouldn't be surprised if discussions are happening . It has to be an option regarding salinbas. My preferred option would be creates known resource then sell it for a significant sum. | bigglesbingham
05/8/2019 15:43 | Gold going stratospheric. If AAU can tell their story to the market better, this had to be cheap based on known production. | highly geared
05/8/2019 15:40 | cinoib - I am very un-picky actually. Although I have been around AAU a long time, until about 18 months ago I only traded it. Then I had a good look at the management, how they appeared to have learned lessons from fundraising mistakes and how the team worked tenaciously under the expert eye of KS and realised that yes, this is a company that is hard working and reliable, has some very interesting assets and will not let its shareholders down. At 1.4p I started buying seriously and, since then, have made (on paper) about 20% profit. I am more than happy to leave a wedge in AAU stock and never lose sleep over it. I believe that by next year we will be bowled over by the amount of cash coming off this one. So you go your way and I'll go mine - good luck! | charles clore
05/8/2019 15:29 | Charles, who told you that tale, not me, besides is blue for a change. You are to picky which is why you are still here after all these years still trying to break even, whilst I move onwards and upwards, a bit like pog really. | cinoib |
