24/7/2019 05:09 | Not sure why that post should be on this board (too macro for me) but I would presume a war or a threat of war would be very positive for gold price and associated share holders. Lots of money has been made from conflict. | carcosa
23/7/2019 23:10 | This first "joint air patrol" involving Russian and Chinese long-range aircraft in the Asia Pacific region, sends a powerful signal of the developing military relationship between Moscow and Beijing. This still falls short of a formal alliance but their joint exercises are larger and more sophisticated. I really do not like this, to many nasty potentially pre-war maneouvers going on. | swallowsflysouth
23/7/2019 17:56 | The way it's always been with AAU as soul says we are dominated by personal investors and the mm's always react to small buys or sells. I've made reference to it many times ie £30000 sells knocks £1m off market cap. It's ridiculous which is why I've always tried to view the market cap in relation to fundamentals not too dissimilar to panmure Gordon but imho they are way too conservative. Viewing the share this way tends not get you too bothered about the volatility. If I was in for a quick buck I may get a little more peed off but I'm not. | bigglesbingham
23/7/2019 17:24 | I think the LSE post is less than reliable. | paul280i
23/7/2019 17:05 | Look- I hope more than anything for him and his family’s sake he is in prime health. Just reporting a couple of LSE posts to give another perspective. Long may he be in good spirits. | pharmoutcomeszzz
23/7/2019 16:45 | Erdogan / his spirit has been tweeting about Johnson becoming PM a couple of hours ago. | mcmather
23/7/2019 16:41 | Thank you for the clarification and may I say I have a lot of time for your thoughts, knowledge and regular inciteful comment. Hence my surprise at the recent note! However, I find it difficult to understand why a ‘small seller’ would impact the share price by 4.35%? | pharmoutcomeszzz
23/7/2019 16:30 | Not with these market makers but to clarify my broker told me based on the bid offer spread and the buys being so close to bid he felt there was a sell order being worked and this was yesterday so independent of these rumours. Sorry I didn't clarify myself. | bigglesbingham
23/7/2019 16:26 | ‘Fall due to a seller’. Statement of the slightly bleedin’ Obvious. | pharmoutcomeszzz
23/7/2019 16:26 | Being quoted 2.22 to buy 250k | charles clore
23/7/2019 15:36 | Nothing on the BBC News site about this. I see internet rumours also 'killed off' the president of Turkmenistan a couple of days ago. | red imp
23/7/2019 15:35 | Fall is due to seller albeit a small amount | bigglesbingham
23/7/2019 15:34 | The chart looks far from awful. | jc2706
23/7/2019 15:17 | LSE REPORTING HEART ATTACK AND POSSIBLE DEATH OF ERDOGAN. That could be the reason for drop. Possible RNS tomorrow. | pharmoutcomeszzz
23/7/2019 15:08 | No it's just the Ariana way. PIs come in on an increased PoG hoping to catch a rise, the rise peters out and bounty hunters go looking elsewhere causing further weakness. It's a catch 22 but still very much at the whim of PIs I am afraid and it doesn't look like changing any time soon. That said, although the chart looks awful it does look a mirror image of the pattern between 1.8p and 2p. | soulsauce
23/7/2019 15:02 | Very strange - maybe we have a forced seller. | charles clore
23/7/2019 14:44 | Gold up silver up AAU down. Wtf | deanmatlazin
23/7/2019 14:43 | Far from recognising AAUs attributes, and relatively strong POG/POS, the share price seems friendless today. | jaynesdad
23/7/2019 12:24 | EU initiates sanctions on Turkey drilling in Cyprus waters | sleveen
23/7/2019 11:43 | Iirc a couple of years back the Hummingbird CEO was severely castigated by for wasting £2m of shareholders cash on Cora. This is a far better company imho. | charles clore
23/7/2019 11:24 | Previous post enough detail for me to keep well away from that one. | thanksamillion
23/7/2019 09:30 | Another very interesting pre-production microcap gold stock... Cora Gold (LSE:CORA) - Mkt cap £5m. Hummingbird Resources (LSE:HUM) has 18.5% Lord Farmer has 13%. (Founder of multi-billion$ Red Kite Mine Finance Fund). The Quirk family have about 20%. And director status. (Quirk family founded Lionore which sold for $6bn). Capital Drilling (LSE:CAPD) has 8.5% Plus others. Cora's exploration areas are close to HUM's producing mine so potential early cashflow from using HUM's infrastructure (HUM are not only Cora's biggest shareholder but Bert Monro is a director of both. Well worth doing some research imo. Very much under the radar so far. | someuwin
23/7/2019 09:24 | Share price not yet reflecting the obvious advantages of holding this stock. | charles clore
23/7/2019 08:36 | Already getting a dollar 50 more an ounce than we were getting a fortnight ago. Not insignificant. | soulsauce |
