05/8/2019 17:41 | The share price has managed to stay above the support line, only just. Let's hope it continues. | vatnabrekk
05/8/2019 16:43 | They are a family run business who don't go shouting from the rooftops. I wouldn't be surprised if discussions are happening . It has to be an option regarding salinbas. My preferred option would be creates known resource then sell it for a significant sum. | bigglesbingham
05/8/2019 15:43 | Gold going stratospheric. If AAU can tell their story to the market better, this had to be cheap based on known production. | highly geared
05/8/2019 15:40 | cinoib - I am very un-picky actually. Although I have been around AAU a long time, until about 18 months ago I only traded it. Then I had a good look at the management, how they appeared to have learned lessons from fundraising mistakes and how the team worked tenaciously under the expert eye of KS and realised that yes, this is a company that is hard working and reliable, has some very interesting assets and will not let its shareholders down. At 1.4p I started buying seriously and, since then, have made (on paper) about 20% profit. I am more than happy to leave a wedge in AAU stock and never lose sleep over it. I believe that by next year we will be bowled over by the amount of cash coming off this one. So you go your way and I'll go mine - good luck! | charles clore
05/8/2019 15:29 | Charles, who told you that tale, not me, besides is blue for a change. You are to picky which is why you are still here after all these years still trying to break even, whilst I move onwards and upwards, a bit like pog really. | cinoib
05/8/2019 15:12 | The rising PM tide that lifts all boats. | charles clore
05/8/2019 14:48 | Lemming reversal underway?!! :-) | goldenshare888
05/8/2019 14:43 | Start to go up now ffs!!! Hurry up | deanmatlazin
05/8/2019 14:38 | I am surprised we don't hear more from Proccea. Ever since RR was finished they have pretty much been a silent partner. I know Zenit muddies the waters but I would have thought they would have wanted to be part of some of the other projects. | soulsauce
05/8/2019 14:29 | The intention of buy back kick started some movement which is what I've been pushing for. Intent backed up buy a token amount is all that is needed. It shows the mechanisms are in place for FUTURE !! | bigglesbingham
05/8/2019 14:23 | You mean the buy back that never happened 😊 | soulsauce
05/8/2019 13:56 | I think the small buyback was what broke us up from the 1.25 region..... | shortarm
05/8/2019 13:12 | Over $1,000 an ounce profit (excluding loan repayments etc) not bad, any Goldie out there bettering that figure? | 1candc
05/8/2019 12:46 | Charles you are probably right. There are many ways in which the company could garner interest. Personally I would rather share buy backs be a last resort and not wholly taken by a small dividend. I would rather the company deliver on the other assets they have talked of for so long. Of course we all have different ideas but think we all agree the company need to do something to attract investors and not penny punters. Plasybrn I am sure it will be accretive over time but some big hurdles to cross, notwithstanding how it will be funded. | soulsauce
05/8/2019 12:34 | Plasbryn - you are a great supporter of the company and provide lots of info here, but I really think you're giving KS and his team too much credit here. Nobody is going to deliberately ignore potential sweet spots in undrilled areas. If they knew of better targets reachable from the same surface locations then they would have drilled them. That doesn't mean that higher grade material isn't present somewhere, it just means that they don't have some sixth sense as to where it is. On the other hand it doesn't show that there is any higher grade material either (which is precisely why you would drill it if you could). | sonoftherock
05/8/2019 12:32 | Hi Soul:- the newsflow from Tavsan, albeit largely in the hands of the JV (Zenit), will in my mine be very accretive. When I get home and can check my files. I'll list what I think we can expect between now and Q1 2020. | plasybryn
05/8/2019 12:21 | soul - the company would only have to announce the intention for an initial dividend payment starting next year and I am sure there would be a flood of investors. It wouldn't have to be a huge amount say, $1m and they could easily afford to do this after the loan is paid off. Alternatively the board could announce the intention to buy back £1m-worth of shares. Gold looks like it is preparing for the next leg up. Silver should follow imho. | charles clore
05/8/2019 11:30 | Plasybrn don't hold your breath on Tavsan. News there may be but production still too far in the distance for your average PI to be interested in. Until things change it is your average PI that the company have to get excited to get the share price up. The company have to find a way to change that or deliver the news from left field they keep alluding to in results rns. So we have useless Yellow Jersey that can't keep PIs interested and a useless broker that can't get instis interested thus answering the question why isn't our share price going up with the gold price. | soulsauce
05/8/2019 11:05 | JaynesDad: You make a very good point imo, namely the aims of this latest Salinbas/Ardala drill programme should have been better communicated, so expectations were managed. In fact they did the opposite showing a misleading Twitter photo with what looked like gold nuggets to non experts - that's most of us I suspect. Yellow Jersey should play a key role in this sort of thing, but they don't appear to add any real value. Or perhaps the Co. don't involve them in how to manage the communication. Whatever, I'm sure Kerim knows exactly what he is doing, even if he hasn't told us! I'm focussed for now on the imminent Tavsan news which for me is the next big value accretive strategy. | plasybryn
05/8/2019 10:34 | Soul That is a good post. We all like this company a little too much maybe. Its easy to envisage a situation where the company is a nice (but time limited) producer in W Turkey with a potentially large but cash strapped (hence slow) exploration venture in the NE on a timescale stretching 5-10 years. We need some news with 'impact' periodically. | jaynesdad
05/8/2019 10:20 | JD..good post. It identifies exactly where we all are right now....don't knows. | 8rad
05/8/2019 10:20 | Plasybrn I agree in part but it isn't going to help the share price. Look how many years it took to prove up RR to the point of development and latterly Tasvan. Salinbas dwarfs those two and so 10k mts of drilling is still only going to be scratching the surface. The company has to find a way to get value from Salinbas in a more timely fashion for shareholders and that probably isn't banging away with a drill for another 5yrs plus. | soulsauce |
