Iirc a couple of years back the Hummingbird CEO was severely castigated by for wasting £2m of shareholders cash on Cora. This is a far better company imho.

Another very interesting pre-production microcap gold stock...

Cora Gold (LSE:CORA) - Mkt cap £5m.

Hummingbird Resources (LSE:HUM) has 18.5%

Lord Farmer has 13%. (Founder of multi-billion$ Red Kite Mine Finance Fund).

The Quirk family have about 20%. And director status. (Quirk family founded Lionore which sold for $6bn).

Capital Drilling (LSE:CAPD) has 8.5%

Plus others.

Cora's exploration areas are close to HUM's producing mine so potential early cashflow from using HUM's infrastructure (HUM are not only Cora's biggest shareholder but Bert Monro is a director of both.

Well worth doing some research imo. Very much under the radar so far.

Already getting a dollar 50 more an ounce than we were getting a fortnight ago. Not insignificant.

A quick look at the figures reveals the value of silver production is currently around 15% of total ores mined. So any relative price improvement over gold will not be great in terms of the bottom line, nonetheless it will be a welcome additional upward driver to our profits as we move forward with all cylinders firing.

Ariana has quite a bit of silver, the distinction between gold and silver mining companies can be more shades of grey, while the market tends to pigeonhole these companies as either gold or silver miners

Seems to be lots of excitement about how silver could out perform gold in the next bull run - has it already started? There aren't many Silver plays around, but Ariana could be one of them. We tend to overlook the Silver value, although the gold equivalent figure always take it into account of course. I didn't see it recognised in the recent Panmure Gordon share price target however. Did anyone else? Going forward the silver element has the potential to be quite significant for Ariana and add real value to our bottom line. Bring it on.

Ironstorm, Yes I have that one on my watch list but has moved to far to fast and in my book overbought and a massive p.e. so will wait and watch untill retraces nearer to 40p.
Charles by now I would have thought 7p would be a very realistic share price but for some reason it doesn't want to go there yet and all sells this far today won't help it. I ditched it last time when it fell back from it's 5p high.

Courtesy of Mining Maven on Twitter Could #AAU be on course to make a >1Moz #gold discovery at #Salinbas, by extending the target area into the Ardala licence to the north?

MiningMaven (@theminingmaven)Just thinking back to #AAU's #Salinbas update last week & the diagram of the 4 hole intersects looks v. encouraging. Looking at the licence map & potential for expansion into Ardala is clearminingmaven.com/company-news/1... pic.twitter.com/lqvjQabTna

MM code? Probably rubbish.500 - Gap the stock. Gap can be up or down, depending on direction of 500 signal. I'm just waiting for the updated Tavsan Resource and timetable to production. Obviously in the hands of Zenit, but should arrive this quarter I reckon.

Cinoib - you would think this should be higher than today's price but for some reason it hasn't yet hit the spot with mainstream PIs or institutions like AAZ, which I know has made good gains over recent years. That being the case, perhaps this has some catching up to do!

Cinoib, to my mind there are similarities between the two (being in both). Like you I was in and out of AAZ, here only averaged down. Both now very very profitable investments - and hopefully at the beginning of the ascent.

However I have thought for a while that AAU is a year behind AAZ in development. So am expecting much more in the next 12 months from AAU. (Also a year further back and hence more speculative is SRB which is also profitable).

Charles Clore. I remember you from many years back on this thread. If I were you I would do a long research into AAZ and then you will see just what a difference a day makes in 2 well run stocks AAZ has increased it's share price 7 fold in a few years whilst here is still 1/2 it previous high in the same time frame. Yes this is now profitable and should continue to be so, but AAZ is more so and is all but debt free already and with more finds being anolised will run for many years to come I hold both but my ratio is 5-1 in AAZ's favour and so far has paid of very handsomely.
