The 2 x 50k trades were me and my wife re-investing about 80% of our dividends.

a Q.

as a gardener I thought the Cyprus mineralization to be average to poor. and I have no clue. has any one a link maybe for an education regarding mineralization of different type of metals - economics, production methods regarding the core materials (sulphate, quartz...) etc - a table of sort - so I can have a look and learn - to have better opinion

economics depends also on the energy cost input, local costs (wages, regulation, taxes --- here Cyprus and Turkey should be doing very well imho)

TIA

Why would you expect to choose between the two? If the geo wants to be a CEO they need to learn the trade, if a CEO wants to represent geology they need to learn the trade. Or they resource up accordingly to ensure coverage in both departments.

As an investor in a junior mining company, whom would I prefer as CEO — a plain-speaking expert geologist or a PR whizz-kid? If I were a short-term speculator, I would probably prefer the latter.

Having been in that same room in Perth for 18 months there's no wonder he lacks enthusiasm...surprising really he can manage to talk.

MDV has to do more. What exactly is he doing on a day to day basis? Items 1 and 4 are the main items we seem to have a problem with.

Kerim is fantastic at finding resources, but not great at attracting new shareholders. Presentations are matter of fact and uninspiring.

Per the IOD:

The main features of the role of Chair are as follows:

1. As well as being Chair of the board, they expected to act as the company’s leading representative which will involve the presentation of the company’s aims and policies to the outside world.

2. To take the chair at general meetings and board meetings. With regard to the latter this will involve: the determination of the order of the agenda; ensuring that the board receives accurate, timely and clear information; keeping track of the contribution of individual directors and ensuring that they are all involved in discussions and decision-making. At all meetings the Chair should direct discussions towards the emergence of a consensus view and sum up discussions so that everyone understands what has been agreed.

3. To take a leading role in determining the composition and structure of the board. This will involve regular reviews of the overall size of the board, the balance between executive and non-executive directors and the balance of age, experience and personality of the directors.

4. To ensure effective communication with shareholders and, where appropriate, the stakeholders.

It seems we have a seller into strength here. Everything looks good on the news front and I think it is inevitable that the value of the assets will support a higher price in time. I'm not worried about short term dips and will add as and when I can.

The other weakness to me is the size of the Board. Two part timers, a Chairman and a CEO. And a CEO on the other side of the world. We raised this recently and the subject of succession planning and got a typical bland whitewash response. If we as mere private shareholders consider it an issue, how much more so do Institutions? The Board need to wise up to these issues in my opinion.

It is Kerim the Geologist's job to supply drilling results to include in RNSs - a job he does very well. It is Kerim the CEO's job to explain why these results are good news for the company and what it will mean for the future - a job he does poorly or not at all.

Darren is a great ambassador and actively encourages shareholder interaction unlike our Board who palm (sorry) it off onto Henry at Yellow Jersey. The same at Altus. The two key directors there set up Ariana with Kerim years ago but what a different attitude they have to shareholder communication. Again they actively encourage shareholders to raise questions direct with them. I'm not sure why Ariana seems to have lost its way in this respect. That direct approachability shows confidence and enthusiasm to discuss the business.

I'm still confused with % Cu and grms/t Au.
Schoolboy maths tells me 0.1% Cu would equate to 1Kg/t Cu. Is that anywhere near or have I just made an idiot of myself?

A year ago today, the share price was 6p. Since then, virtually every RNS has been good news about Ariana and the share price today is almost 4p.

As they used to say at school; Discuss.
