As Kerim stated, shareholders finally rewarded,…NOT. The share price is down significantly more than the first tranche. I wouldn’t be surprised if many ‘less well read’ shareholders believe that this constitutes the whole dividend, such is the lack of communication.

I don’t know what’s happening, but since the JV there is a distinctly different feel or vibe to the company. Could it be that handing over a 1% controlling stake was a mistake?

That is a ridiculous situation, I've never heard anything like it before. Between Barclays and AAU, what a total farce. I had expected a dividend (finally) a week ago, but so far have received absolutely nothing.

JAF: excellent points well made. ZEDDER: I am getting a different story from Barclays, that it is AAU that has not delivered the cash to Barclays yet into their account, only a ‘promise’; to do so within 10 days.Barclays say it will take a further 48 hours for then to pass it on. They have tried to contact Ariana several times but yet to hear back. I have tried to contact Ariana on their Investors tel no. but no reply. Have emailed for an explanation.

To me, the whole dividend episode has been one big failure. First, the long delay, then the minimum amount (more that 0.7p had been hinted at) and finally paying it in three stages.

Instead of getting press coverage for being an AIM company paying a dividend of over 15%, it has turned into a nothing event with share price actually falling. The classic defeat from the jaws of victory.

I wonder if the Board expected this to be the outcome post the dividend payment. I admit I'm fairly surprised, as one got the impression a lot of the dividend cash would be reinvested. As usual Ariana expects us all to play the patience game. I think they are oozing confidence but that message hasn't been communicated effectively and as Soul says, the market wants some hard tangible facts on Tavsan, Salinbas, Cyprus etc.

Very disappointing week for two reasons. Another week without news from projects and lack of traction from those saying they were reinvesting.
You can add a third if you include still no broker note.
I didn't expect us to be at this level again, even more so given the wording in the interims.

Clearly neither the BoD nor Biggles are concerned about the short-term share price so I will not be either.

Really need some of the overdue news like Cyprus or Tavsan to drop. And spend some of the £20m cash -it cant be earning much interest.

I think the Interims rns said early Q4 to reach the 50% ownership of Venus - so plenty is still going on in Cyprus to report on.

They were disappointed then! Some have better ideas, some just need the cash, some just worried about possible market crash and taking PM's down with it, who knows, but one things for sure the share price wont be here for long, even if it does go lower with a combination of the above, it will be short lived, IMHO.

Another load of sales.. Maybe some people we're waiting for the price rise when the dividend was paid to sell in to? :-)

Selling on and keeping a royalty could be the best of both worlds

I get the feeling that that is the strategy across the board explore discover put a resource on it and sell whole or in part , then repeat. I think Cyprus / Venus will be the next after kizeltepe.

The first pic is clearly a prehistoric map, I see fields and builings shown on it, the brown bits are probably the latrine overflow area.
