Biggles,I never said 10 years - I said the next 12 months or so. You are confusing me with another poster.

Salinbas drilling results if good , Cyprus results will show quality of Venus licenses some companies are one or two trick ponies looking at Cyprus with market cap of 10m plus on back of prospective drill results. Tarsvan within 12 months. Asgard turned 35k into 3.5 million. Cash in bank, future dividend dilution extremely unlikely. If you find another miner which represents any where near the value of AAU for the market cap I've yet to see it. Some are glass half empty some are half full we are on different sides of the spectrum but you've made you decision I just see things differently which after is why there is a market in the first place. I agreed with regards to communication I definitely don't agree on timescale. If salinbas drilling hits anything like hot maden then your saying 10 years before share price reflects it??? Plus it's a pint which is now funded by $8m Ozaltin injection.

Ah sorry I missed that JAF. Understandable move in your circumstances, It's just interesting to hear others opinions so thanks. It's not an easy game this sometimes. I wish you all the luck with your investments. Hopefully we are all smiling soon enough.

Lottsgold,

As I have mentioned before, I have to use my savings to supplement my pension so I cannot afford to have too much in cash hardly earning anything - even though that is the more prudent approach.

I have gone back into FTSE 100/250 companies which are currently looking stable and paying a reasonable dividend. It is not going to make me rich but it does provide income. The other advantage is that these investments are very liquid so I can get out quickly and into a bargain (as you put) should one or more arise.

JAF obviously no need to answer but if you don't mind, have you gone to cash or reinvested elsewhere? I'm holding some cash as the market was clearly rolling over in the last couple of weeks, ready for some bargains across the board including here, hopefully PMs will get some love again soon.

As explained earlier with H L you find it under income and have to move it

I have over £20k of divi waiting to be invested - a fair chunk in AAU. The current share price is too good to miss. But although it shows as received in my HL account, it is not available to be reinvested. How common is this ?

Biggles,I get your point but look at it the other way - what in the next 12 months or so is going to move the share price of Ariana significantly ? We know a dividend doesn't do it, we know drilling results however good don't do it, we know small new ventures don't do it.Ariana is still a good long term investment but not everyone can afford to have their capital tied up being unproductive.

Private investors sell and buy according to their individual circumstances, sometimes it's sentiment led, patience runs out and sells albeit small leads to reduction in share price which leads to more frustration. I've seen it numerous times over the years and it runs it's course. The interims last week explained to me at least what direction the company is going and their strategy is clear. I get the fact that their marketing to non investors is weak and that needs to be addressed. To put into perspective most investors gripes are relating to not getting the story out their because the story is excellent. Therefore by definition the operation of the company and fundamentals are excellent. It's my view that the market will realise and wake up to it. As to 10 yr timeframe and tarsvan name only let's get real shall we. Problem with sentiment is affects rational thought unfortunately.

I have considered similar JAF. I am less and less mobile in my investments though with a new job consuming more and more time, so a long term investment to tuck away for a few years actually suits me at the moment. If this was 18 months ago I'd have sold a lot already tbh and would be making money elsewhere. If I'd reinvested my divi last week I'd have lost almost 10% already, it's risen 6% where I put it, which emphasis how much of a short term play AAU isn't now.

I had a long think about Ariana over the weekend and I came to the conclusion that its strategies and mine are not really compatible. The prospects are still good here but the time scales and communications mean that I could no longer afford to have Ariana as the largest component of my portfolio.

On that basis, I have reduced my holding by half today but I still hold (by my standards) a considerable amount. That might not be correct for other holders so please DYOR.

All good posts. The share price and Market Cap is frankly absurd. No one appears to give a monkeys, and since the JV there’s been comparative deafening silence.

Tavsan appears to be a mine in name only, having supposed to have been in production years ago. Seems to be going nowhere fast. In summary I’m seriously considering whether it’s worth waiting another ten to fifteen years with the risk that we’re still sitting at 10p, with Salinbas mired in beaurocracy and paperwork. It’s becoming exhausting. 😴

looks like the guys and gals have decided to definitely not reinvest divi funds here and perhaps even sell shares to reinvest elsewhere. this latest drop is very painful for those like me who were already in the red.

the bod cannot do anything about share price movement directly and indeed they should not attempt to do that, but they can and should as a priority in the current circumstance be taking or planning action on the operational and marketing fronts to counter it.

ks should refocus his time here and put his other distractions aside until aau is properly sorted. if he cant do that it means he is too thinly spread and aau need more management muscle.

get on with it please!

Kirbs can you find out from your contact wtf is going on with our secretive relationship with PG.
I have never known a company make such a fanfare of taking on said broker and then to get so little use out of them.
They wanted to save bits of money by paying the divvy in tranches but throw good money at PG for doing sweet fa.

Funny the circles life operates in.. Just as the share price drops towards 4p with little or no promotion I get a LinkedIn notification that a guy I worked with previously has joined Panmure Gordon as CAO :).

I think all those with late dividend payers (Barclays etc.) should now be very pleased for their inefficiency!!
The 2020 high was 6.3p and here we are now at 4.3p. Down around a third with a Market Cap back under £50m at £46.4m. It's hard to believe really. But dare I say, no one seems interested in promoting the future vision or more importantly the strands of the strategy to achieve growth and increasing shareholder value. Not Yellow Jersey, Panmure Gordon or even the Board themselves. At best the details of our future plans are sketchy.
There must surely be updates/insights they can provide on so many fronts, not least Tavsan, Salinbas and Cyprus. With Kerim locked away in Australia and isolated from investors the position is becoming somewhat annoying in my opinion. The importance of appointing a new Director with responsibility for Investor Relations and PR generally is becoming ever more crucial in my opinion.

It won't affect their bonuses and they dont dispose of their shares so I can't see a declining share price affecting them at all. Let's face it, they couldn't give a tinkers cuss about the share price. All they want to do is explore and cherry pick at little projects while they sit on a fortune in the bank and mine their assets.

Another day, another fall. Perhaps the company will begin to pay attention to the share price when it starts to affect their options or bonuses.
