Can someone tell me when this much vaulted dividend is going to be paid after all the money is in Ariana bank account waiting for news I hope it is at least 50p a share after all they have sold half the business even though going forward the business should be twice the size given the improvements going on at no expense to Ariana if they dangle the date I'm sure it would create some good share action

'Many people are content to stay out of the workforce, collecting generous government handouts' lol, open to correction, but isnt US benefit about $300pw and lasts for a couple of months only? $300 probably doesnt even cover the coke habit of the dude who wrote that.

Resarch note

Let's hope they are correct on the future price of gold!

We expect a catalyst to emerge in the second half of the year that could drive gold higher. The most likely catalyst would be excessive inflationary expectations. Inflation expectations have returned to pre-pandemic norms, although a number of developments listed here suggest it could spiral out of control:

• US$1.9 trillion of additional fiscal stimulus is likely to be introduced on top of previous government spending, some of which has yet to be utilised;
• The US Federal Reserve (Fed) continues to buy US$120 billion worth of Treasuries and mortgage-backed securities each month;
• Lumber, oil, copper, food staples and other commodities prices have been on the rise, many reaching multi-year highs;
• Shortages of semiconductors, shipping containers and truck drivers have been documented;
• Many people are content to stay out of the workforce, collecting generous government handouts;
• Purchasing power of American families has reached record highs. Further into 2022, once the trillions of stimulus dollars have been spent, other systemic risk catalysts could emerge, such as a weakening economy, debt problems, US dollar weakness and/or black swan events caused by radical fiscal and monetary policies. We believe the long-term bull market remains intact and expect prices to ultimately surpass US$3,000 per ounce. We also note that gold miners remain cheap relative to the price of gold.

It is worth noting that since mid-2020 it appears that Bitcoin has replaced gold as the new gold. But as cryptos have continued to soar, US real rates have now undermined gold value. To remain long Bitcoin would require a belief that real rates are going to retreat.

Just to let people know, the last two 'sells' today were simply a bed & isa for me, not two separate sales.

I don't disagree I've been saying for some time the company had done a superb operational job creating sound fundamentals to build on. Communication of the message has been very poor.

Would like to know a bit more about the company's specific plans. It feels like we have just been drifting in the corporate JV current without a rudder for too long. Now we need some proper meat on the bones to give shareholders a proper sense of direction.

I also have an important Q - knowing the human nature to a small degree - if a man is absent, teacher from the class, manager from employees - slowly but surly things change....

who is running Turkey - mining? exploration?
because up to this point a stellar job is done and it is not usual that all is fine for such a long time with BOD physical absentizm ongoing

few more years of absentizm and people will ask - do we need BOD at all (I know we do BTW)

BB - like I did with my ex in theory and in praxis till along the way something....came up

and they all were telling me - there is life beyond her, many fish in the tank etc. (shares or females I do not know)

how true - because life does not give a f... about reason, to dance it takes two etc

I was expressing a personal opinion not a fact, a view and as always fingers crossed that reasonable and good wins in the end.

I wish best to all of AAU

my point - after the divi I ll watch the trading like a hawk as it is a sweet spot for an "action"

complement probably? I am bad with difficult words...

They compliment each other perfectly imho. Huge engineers clout from ozaltin with AAU telling them why to concentrate that expertise.

There is often comment on here about how Ariana's share price is influenced by the price of gold. I decided to dust off my statistics ('O' level grade 1 1964) and calculated the coefficient of correlation between gold and the share price.

I used the 6th of the month from April 2020 to April 2021 using gold prices from a chart from the Gold Bullion company. The coefficient turned out to be 0.6178. If you then square that number, it gives a value of 0.3805. What that means in English is that 38% of the variation in the Ariana share price can be attributed to the rise and fall in the price of gold or, to put it the other way, 62% of the changes in the Ariana share prices comes from other factors apart from the price of gold.

It's amazing the things you find to do when the weather is cold and miserable.

Seems clear to me that they did not bid for all as they needed AAU tied in, in order to retain their exploration skills. Without Kerim/Zac et al they would be floundering.

there will be a sweet spot for a total AAU TO bid after the divi - I could not get it why the conglomerate did not bid for all of it. But (in my head - let them teach us, they will cooperate as friends...., let them do the work, the drilling discovery, they will depend on us more and more....) it is still not ruled out completely. share price is telling me to think about it.

I hope I ll not get pushed out once again bellow fair value (latest two were TSG and AAA) and I cant do anything against it (but to limit my exposure)

I am not negative, just constantly thinking about AAU and many options - and most such negative scenarios never happen - but sometimes they do

all the good to perfection about AAU is permanently covered by the others

Ended up mining ??? KS is half Turkish and company set up 15 years ago in turkey. It didn't end up mining in turkey. Strange comment. KS has manoeuvred the company away from turkey. I could see foreign ownership of mining asset being limited to a percentage but not full nationalisation that would be a position which would not fulfill turkeys requirement. If mining assets were limited to 50% foreign ownership or even 25% then AAU decision becomes exceptionally good. Even if nothing happens it was a good decision. Obviously KS knows a lot more than shareholders about the cogs of power in turkey in relation to mining and if something of this magnitude was going to happen you'd have to argue that they would have caught wind of it from their numerous contacts.

Yes, I bought into First Mining as well, some time ago. I was also impressed by an interview with its CEO (Kitco news?). However I hold far more AAU and think Kerim will deliver.

Even companies like First Majestic are beginning to focus on safer countries.

Kerim is no fool. He has manoeuvred us into a good position.

I’m not selling but have to admit I’m annoyed we’ve ended up mining in such a suspect regime!! Ho Hum..

If anyone is looking for a decent explorer with very good pedigree and lots of acreage in safe western jurisdiction then take a look at First Mining.
