"You think MDV would have added to his holding"

At approx 70% discount, why wouldn't he?

shortarm,

OK you want to play dirty. Where did I say that Ariana was unfair on shareholders ? That is your interpretation not mine. As I said, you clearly did not understand my comments.

Maybe you only own this share? All mining shares are unhappy....But it's only this one that unfair on shareholders? Right?

If people are going to have a go at me and others, please get your facts right.

'In a day where many shares fell, the unpalatable news for you is we ended up the same. How disappointing for you.'

The shares opened at 4.50 - 4.90 a mid price of 4.70. It closed at 4.40 - 4.60 a mid price of 4.50. There was one trade (probably UT) at 16:35 (after the market had closed) at 4.70 but that is not the closing price as you will see in a few minutes time when the market opens.

Some people clearly did not understand my comments. That is not my problem. As Trevor1234 said, let's disagree but keep it polite - saying things like 'how disappointing for you' doesn't add much to this board.

Yeah that's right, between them they own like six percent- they don't care about the other 94 lolAAU is down less than a lot of other miners today but it's all 'it's just not fair' in this board!! It's fair!

Sorry I am with Timothyfones here....so little empathy with shareholders at such sensitive times as this does make you think...wtf do they care about us.

What a good board this is, people with differing opinions argued passionately.
But no petty name calling or derogatory text. Just reasoned argument.
I know I respect the differing posts well done all the regular posters
Nice to see the share price back up to 4.7 at the end, suppose its to much to ask that it has turned the corner .

Anyone know if we have been given a date for the reduction of share capital? I can't seem to find anything.

I'm at a bit of a loss as to why really? Is there's just so much hot money everything runs on sentiment? I'm putting as much as I can afford into this correction but it's hard work to buy in this market and feel confident!

lifestyle company directors just keep the company limping along, awarding themselves oversized pay and benefits and delivering no shareholder value and often even worse they destroy shareholder value. and they keep it going for as many years as possible by raising cash and diluting shareholders in the process.

this is not a lfestyle company for the directors. unless you mean they have spent many years of their lives delivering sound progress and achievements!

as for the sour grapes about their rewards, give it a rest. what do you expect them to do, work for free or take nothing but a basic salary while the share price quadruples and shareholders reap the profits?

and just to be absolutely clear, i am in loss right now! so its definitely not a case of me sitting on profits and singing the praises of the company. but loss or not, i can see what the dirs have achieved for the company over the years.

biggles,

No apology needed.

Yes, a director's buy is on its own a positive. The timing, when the share price is falling and the dividend is still not announced, can change that perception. That was the point I was making.

There is a difference between sentiment of LTH's who know the company and directors, and appeal to new investors which we need for the share price to reach its perceived value.I agree with the arguments for the board being rewarded but I'm in the game. Those important prospective investors though I'm afraid see an AIM company with a falling share price and 1.1bn shares in issue after multiple raisings. To then see directors rewarding themselves makes AAU a quick pass imo, too many of the usual warning bells ringing before you lift the lid.Just my opinion removing myself from the frustration of being invested and knowing the true story.

Sorry for having a go pal bad morning. Just I see a director increasing his holding and utilizing his own funds to do so as a positive. I don't see how it's a negative? It's not as though new warrants are being issued .

I'm sure this was part of the cycle previously, first leg all the minnows can suddenly raise, they get ahead of themselves and issue lots of warrants for the big boys to get in, then a drop whilst they sell a good chunk. Next will be the fruition of the investment and good growth. This is the time to buy, unfortunately i'm fully invested pretty much now but hey ho.

It's not helping that PM prices are remaining under pressure despite what all the so called gold experts keep saying.
