12/4/2021 16:14 | Silver is a manipulated commodity the investment houses increase supply then short and withdraw supply and go long. I try and follow their trades. Always seems to be around a range. Current range $25.5 down to $24.5 | ![]() bigglesbingham
12/4/2021 15:09 | Silver in particular taking another one of those dives, lets see, but I suspect its another one of those sell-offs driven by the hidden few who have taken charge of what are supposed to be rational Markets, if so then it will be back up by tomorrow. Sad state of affairs, we do not have the where-with-all to play their game, which is why I like long-term investments such as AAU. | ![]() thanksamillion

12/4/2021 11:22 | I've copied this from Proton on the GGP thread. I've just watched it through (you'll need a spare hour) and have to say there is some VERY VERY interesting stuff in it. Bottom line is that I am very happy to be overweight in Gold miners at present! This week Andrew Maguire sits down to discuss the gold and silver markets with Alasdair Macleod, one of the most requested guests and respected figures in the financial and precious metals industries. | ![]() zedder

12/4/2021 11:05 | Think he wants to live there I wouldn't be surprised if him cashing in warrants was to purchase a house. He lived there from around 2011-16 I think and ran the company successfully from there. | ![]() bigglesbingham
12/4/2021 10:21 | Sorry zangdook that wasn't meant at a dig at your post, it was just a generalisation and frustration. I am sure if he was in Turkey we would still be underselling ourselves on all fronts. | ![]() soulsauce
12/4/2021 10:14 | Fair enough, I was just trying to work out if the comments about him being stuck made any sense. | zangdook
12/4/2021 09:44 | Not bothered where he is at the moment so long as he starts news flowing and the looooooooong awaited divvy paid :-/ | ![]() soulsauce
12/4/2021 09:35 | Still, Australian citizens can apply to leave if your travel is for your business/employer which seems pretty clearly true here. And anyway, Automatic exemptions You are exempt from travel restrictions, and can leave Australia without applying for an exemption if you are: ordinarily resident in a country other than Australia Again true - he isn't ordinarily resident in Australia, is he? | zangdook
12/4/2021 09:05 | If he's an Australian that would explain it. | zangdook
12/4/2021 08:39 | I thought he was a Turkish National, British Nationality, Australian Citizen. Prior link referred to temporary visa holders only i.e. not applicable. So only option would be fly to UK but flights from UK to Turkey have ceased. | ![]() carcosa
12/4/2021 08:35 | I believe he's a citizen Zangdook. I'm sure he wants to be at site driving his business forward. | ![]() lottsgold
12/4/2021 08:26 | I saw from the BRR video of 18 March that KS is in Australia, and reading back I found several posts saying that he is stuck there and cannot leave due to Australian exit restrictions. This doesn't seem to square with information on the Australian Dept of Home Affairs website, which says international visitors are encouraged to return home when possible to do so. Temporary visa holders do not need an exemption to depart Australia. They can leave at any time, as long as border restrictions in their home country allow them to return. Can anyone explain? Is he an Australian citizen or permanent resident as well as being British/Turkish? I notice he has consultancy and research positions in Australia as well as his roles with Ariana and Panther. | zangdook
11/4/2021 20:10 | AIM-listed gold-miner in Turkey Ariana Resources (AAU) had a relatively strong finish to last week, closing at 4.6p. More importantly, it put in a higher low at the turn of the month which, if reflected in a higher high in a few days' time, would see the stock cross back above 5p. The company is pregnant with news: news from the Court should be with us any day to confirm the capital restructuring to allow payment of the long-awaited special dividend (which I still reckon will by 0.7-0.75p), a host of exploration news, news on the Tavsan mine development, news on new projects as CEO Kerim Sener looks to spend the Ozaltin/Proccea cash wisely and an update on the capacity expansion at Kiziltepe are all in the pipeline. My intention is to bag the dividend, but some will want to reinvest which should add a little upward pressure on the shares, which I hope will be added to with news from the company. At 4.6p I rate the stock as a buy up to 5.5p with an initial target of 7.5p (including that special dividend). | ![]() bigglesbingham |
