11/2/2021 08:14 | Looking forward to news flow resuming, Kiziltepe drill results in the next couple of weeks hopefully that should kick off a busy year. | ![]() lottsgold
11/2/2021 06:18 | I put an edit at the bottom Risa it was an error on my part. | ![]() lottsgold
10/2/2021 23:59 | Lottsgold, Is this right? 12.98%=9.256 million shares, surely that's less than 1%? 'Starvest now holds 12.98% of the company or 9.256 million shares, up from 10.7%.' | ![]() risa5
10/2/2021 22:04 | I think it helps private investors considering investing to know there is institutional participation. Maybe such a company is perceived as being more credible. Can't think of much else. | ![]() dixi
10/2/2021 21:44 | Institution aren't bothered about adding peanuts on open market. Hence with no capital raises and a broker who hasn't got the inclination to do a deal can't see institutional investors of any substance any time soon. I've never had it explained to me what the benefit of having institution on board is??? If they decide to sell they offload sharpish . Anyone help with this question? | ![]() bigglesbingham
10/2/2021 21:08 | Starvest, the small cap specialist investment company headed up by Bruce Rowan, said that it had increased its position in Ariana Resources. Starvest now holds 12.98% of the company or 9.256 million shares, up from 10.7%.Ariana Resources is a mineral exploration company focused on gold projects in Turkey. This is the largest holding I can see from them so another substantial seller. Time for institutions to come in with the price so low? Edit: just seen last post will keep reading. Last point stands though, surely institutions would consider buying in the market at this level? | ![]() lottsgold
10/2/2021 20:48 | From Starvest RNS of 24 February 2020: "Starvest currently holds 17,500,000 shares in Ariana Resources plc, representing 1.65% of the company" It would be interesting to know how many they sold | ![]() doinnuthing
10/2/2021 20:32 | Wasn't declareable but company were close to him once upon a time and were informed of his holding so included it even though it was less than three percent. He passed in sept 19 but I saw some info on internet relating to his estate in oct 20 coincidentally when selling started. Add this to starvest last year and you have a potential reason for shareprice pressure. Add to this the momentum sells and those panicking about deal not going through you have a considerable number exchanged around five pence creating a sound base to move forward. | ![]() bigglesbingham
10/2/2021 20:20 | Well done Plas !! | ![]() bigglesbingham
10/2/2021 20:19 | The company has not been notified who was selling therefore difficult for the broker to arrange buyers and sellers to marry up. In my experience even with a seller and buyer they couldn't arrange it. | ![]() bigglesbingham
10/2/2021 16:39 | There has been quite a bit of debate on the other B.B. regarding Resolution 3 that will allow the Directors authority to buy back up to 5% of the issued ordinary shares into Treasury. I have managed to speak with Yellow Jersey this afternoon concerning this and we talked through the valid points that have been raised. They are aware of this discussion and have kindly confirmed that the company will clarify this for all shareholders, probably later this week. So please watch this space. | ![]() plasybryn
10/2/2021 15:38 | Cheers Plasybryn. I will take some convincing but will try and keep an open mind. | ![]() soulsauce

10/2/2021 14:28 | Kirbs, 20 million is less than 3% so he would not have had to declare his holding. | ![]() paul280i
10/2/2021 13:40 | Biggles wouldn't there have had to be an rns if his holding had gone below 3m? Or are there different rules when it comes to settling of an estate? | kirbs4
10/2/2021 13:38 | and all those shares seemed to have gone / are going to retail buyers ergo there is no institutional appetite for AAU... | ![]() huffster
10/2/2021 12:51 | Bruce rowen owned 20m AAU and I mentioned some time back that I suspected it could be his estate selling ie not related to the potential of company but beneficiaries wanting money thus creating buying opportunity. | ![]() bigglesbingham
10/2/2021 11:38 | 8rad, if pre-emption rights have been dis-applied via resolution there is nothing we could do about it for the relevant period until the next vote on it. This was Resolution 6 of the last AGM which gave the directors the authority to issue up to £500k to anybody for 15 months from date of AGM (i.e. to Nov 2021) and passed by a majority of 219m votes. | ![]() xow98
10/2/2021 10:45 | Starvest updated today with following: "The Company disposed of its full holdings in Marechale Capital and Salt Lake Potash during the year, along with a portion of its positions in Oracle Power and Ariana Resources." They used to appear on our list of significant shareholders, along with Bruce Rowan andEuropean Goldfields but they have all dropped off / below 3% as far as I can see. Not a single Institutional Holder with 3% on there now. *edit I do realise that Bruce Rowan sadly died recently | ![]() huffster
