Don't even acknowledge them. The government signed off the deal only two weeks ago and now they are implying sequestration ? Really? And just on a stand alone basis on a tiny miner , give me a break.

You guys using the right word here? Sequestration normally means insolvency? This company has no debt besides a small working loan and generates loads of cash though sales. And even if there was a problem they could issue millions of share like other AIM companies.

And I dont think there is any reading the runes about it. All AIM shareholders think their shares are undervalued - by multiples - thats normal.

But remember when Ozaltin made the offer back in Nov 2019 the market was currently valuing the company at £20m (about 2p a share). If you include the $8m Ozaltin are obliged to spend on Salinbas then they are offering about £33m for half the comapny ie they valued Ariana at about £66m ie over 3 times its then market value.

At the time it wasnt viewed as a steal. Go back and read this board in the days after the deal was announced, It was buzzing.

Global gold ETFs saw inflows of 13.8t (US$1bn, 0.4%) in January, after two consecutive months of outflows in November and December, which had totalled 148.8t. Global AUM now stands at 3,765t (US$226bn), just 4% shy of the intra-month record 3,915.8t (US$244bn) set in early November. It's only going one way this year, and AAU will go with it, especially when people start to see what we already know.500k more for me this week, hoping for no news next week so I can get some more at these unbelievably low prices.

It could equally be that KS read the runes, saw this possibility arising and willing agreed to the transaction as a way of trying to protect Ariana against sequestration.

As a dilettante follower of AAZ's jv with Conroy perhaps some comparisons can be made.

I think their jv was announced in July and also trundles on. I may be wrong but very little is even known about their jv even after 7 months. We can get carried away about how much we should know, and yes we should probably get more updates. But as far as I aware they have had no real updates of progress and certainly no concrete progress milestones, whereas we have been told about amendments to the original, when licences were transferred, shareholder circular, deposit paid, and Turkish govt approval.

Not condoning the length of time its all taken, but perhaps its par for the course for AIM.

I hope for your sakes that something major like sequestration isn't on the cards, due to chicanery of some description. Complicated situations are prone to problems.

Well I'm pleased this week is behind us. I'm really disappointed with the way matters have been handled and the unfortunate inference being portrayed to many that they don't care about loyal shareholders. Knowing the Board individuals, I find that very hard to believe and hard to fathom. If shareholders have written to Y.J. and not even had the decency of an acknowledgement, I hope the directors will be made aware of this serious failing in both politeness and professionalism. They say when the S.P. turns positive all sins are forgotten, but I'm afraid I don't think the Co. and especially Y.J. have done themselves any favours recently. Please up your game. The fact is, Investors have plenty of other places to park their hard earned cash and as a result of this pathetic lack of communication, many have done just that.

So moving on to a new week, I'm going to try and put all that behind me and focus on expected news and a resultant sharp recovery in the share price.Good luck everyone.

I am on tenterhooks as to whether I have won a polo shirt for the December / January competition. Possibly no one else entered so maybe rolling over for another month. Mmmm sounds like something else.

Ozaltin are not joining AAU board but the Turkish entity in which the existing JV exists.

if they ditch yj and save at least some costs then ok get another body on board. and better still, replace pg. otherwise i'd prefer they didn't have the extra payroll expense. frankly all this talk about another dir seems to be based on frustration around lack of comms on the perceived delay to jv completion - a frustration i share in no small measure having seen the share price take me into the red while unexplained delay goes on - but i'm not keen to add payroll costs on that basis.

certainly also do not like the radio silence on email queries. does not take long to send out a cut and paste holding response if they are not in a position to say anything. just adds to the negative sentiment and engenders wobbles in shareholders.

Control will be diluted after Ozaltin joins the board

This is what it said in the 2018 and 2019 Annual Report and Accounts under the Corporate Governance section.
"It is recognised that an additional independent non-executive director will benefit the Company and it will appoint such an independent director at the appropriate time so as to comply with the Code".
As I said earlier, I would prefer it to be a fully fledged, employed Executive Director who has clear responsibilities. I'm of the view that this will become ever more important as our Market Cap. continues to build nearer to £100m. In fact I suspect Institutional Investors will require a more balanced Board which is also weaken by the CFO being a Non Executive position. In fact, it may well be one reason that Panmure Gordon have failed to attract Investors, as the control is seen to be too tightly administered. Again just my thoughts and open to others views, But it does seem unusual to have just two Executive directors.

Charles,

As Basil Fawlty (almost) put it 'He only had to say "Good night", dear. It's not the Gettysburg address.'

I'd rather let the company get on with the job they are paid for than bothering them every few days with distracting emails. Chill, relax and be patient - it's coming!

Can understand your frustration certainly doesn't add confidence, if others have been emailing with no reply there is clearly something going on in the background. Could be good could be bad but many who were heavily invested will go on the side of caution. If it was negative surely we would have to have been updated though?
