Biggles - are you sure it's finally selling? Could be shorting by a consortium as well as the total sales over the past several months must run into the tens of millions and as yet not a sniff of a TR1

Think were all in the same boat and feeling more than a little frustrated. Did anyone raise these points in the recent Q & A, if so what was the reply? This is where we see if Ozaltin have any sympathetic ears in government or not!

I'm just hoping that there is substantial newsflow waiting to be released upon the completion of the JV. I know this delay is irritating however, as people have stated before on this board, it is out of AAUs hands. Remember how long the Kiziltepe licences took to sign off - we may be in for a long wait yet.

All this luvvy duvvy here. The Board know exactly what message they want to convey to investors. Easy when you have such a suppliant audience. Good for a laugh though.

If you go on the gov.uk you can apply to pay your Jan 31 tax bill in instalments starting now. No penalty for doing so.

There are a number of very exciting shares around at the moment which have really enjoyed spectacular returns over 12 months and even over the last few months. I'm sure the lack of progress here makes it very difficult to swallow for some investors especially given those lost gains elsewhere. What makes it worse is the apparent lack of focus on communication by the Co. as has been so well aired recently. Everything may well be progressing fine with relatively short timeframes, but currently it feels like being the preferable mushroom. In the dark. That RNS to announce the 100% ratification of the Deal by shareholders was frankly pathetic. What an opportunity to say something of substance; but no nothing. It is hard to credit at times like this that the BoD is either switched on or indeeds cares. I hope Biggles gets his large shareholder communication to the BoD sooner rather that later, as there is a desperate for Ariana to up their game, else and understandably, there will be a lot more sellers looking for greener pastures elsewhere. Rant over.

The bland communication stating 100% passed resolution didn't help. Another example of not making the most of good news. On bright side this last five months has created and extremely strong base over 5p

They are unlikely to know who the seller is. That's the only problem. Introductions need both parties to act independently with same goal.

Very true dixi and at this stage with PM's as they are it is a worry.

I suppose I'm stating the obvious, but large seller or not, the problem is really a lack of committed buying still.

well, if they are trying to meet a 31 january tax deadline then hopefully come feb the selling will stop!

Of course, it could be more than one seller with the same issue.

Konil, I have assumed it is someone selling to meet a tax liability (similar to BB at the end of last year) but they have left it a little late for the amount they need - so almost forced sales.

another thought, if there are instis who are interested in gaining exposure here then perhaps the seller could organise an off-market transaction to get it all done in one go and also not impact the sp? could the company assist in arranging introductions?

Of course you are right konil but I thought the GM would have had us at least back in the mid 5's but given the strength of PM's, and in particular silver, I can't understand why we have not regained much of what we lost due to optionsgate.

bb, do you think there are holders of size, say 3% or more, who have not registered their holdings, and it may be some of these who are selling? or do you think its smaller holder(s) who are selling?

either way, begs the question why at this stage given the expected deal and associated large divi, not to mention the company making nature of the deal which should see the share price appreciate significantly in due course. ok, some may have need for cash, but this selling that has been referred to has been going on for months now?

soul, its the govt clearance that is the green light surely? company and shareholders can vote and agree on all manner of things till the cows come home but without govt clearance there is no deal.

most on here myself included think it will happen but it seems i'm alone in thinking there is at least some risk that it might not. in my experience nothing is a certainty until it is actually done. but hey ho we are where we are.

The seller/sellers aren't helping . Still smacks of a large seller in the background ie when the price ticks up 250k dumped reset etc.

I can't believe this has not recovered given the result of the GM and the strengthening gold price.
It seems to me that the several rounds of optionsgate did more damage than I thought. But it was awfully managed.

xow98, just to put your post into context, you have to remember that AAU is a very small company, with I believe no permanent staff excluding the directors in the UK.
I'm sure MDV would like to just only carry out the duties you itemise but I would think he has all the admin duties to perform as well. I ran a small company for most of my life, believe me there is a lot of form filling needed.
I do think that the BOD and our Chairman do as much as is possible in items 1 & 4, I have never had any problem in getting answers to any questions posed to the company and as far as item 1 is concerned, if the outside world isn't won't listen what can they do?

I remember MDV presented something at an event a few years ago and I think it is fair to say most shareholders would rather Kerim do it! That doesn't discard the question around what he does do, but in terms of filling that role I would rather he didn't based on what I remember.
