Goldman Sachs has pinned a $2,300 per oz target on Gold for 2021, saying that its bull market is not over, according to fnlondon.com, as inflation expectations will move higher, the US$ will weaken and emerging market retail demand recovers. Compared to some forecasts, this is extremely modest but a 22% gain for the yellow metal would still be significant.

Looking at the chart this rise to 5.25 indicates to me that the next leg up has started and the deal announcement is imminent. Hope so.

I’d like £1 for every time I’ve read the word ‘transformational’ on this board over the last year when used in relation to the pending JV announcement! To be fair, a year ago the share price was 2.1p. An annual increase of almost 150%!! Not bad and whilst I understand the frustrations of some long term contributors on this board, some financiers may rightly comment that in today’s environment an annual return of investment of 150% is ‘transformational’!

I think the market is waiting for the JV which will be transformational both for the company and the share price in my view. Unfortunately they can't do a great deal about the timing of it so we are waiting and with other AIM shares offering more volatility at the moment, that's where the attention is. Happy to accumulate at these levels

Should have some quarterly figures next week shouldn't we?

The shares are tightly held and over the years AAU has flattened over periods. It's during those times I've historically added.

Hard to argue against that JAF, very unfortunate.

Yes, the JV will in all probability go through and yes, Ariana is still making good profits in the meantime, but all momentum in the company has been lost IMO.

I added 161,734, better to buy now in the quiet spell rather than the likely scramble on news arrival

I believe we would have heard or sensed there were troubles of the kind you refer. My strong believe is all parties are firmly committed to the JV and translation of final agreement would be my guess on the delay now. They said they were having meeting week last Friday , assuming all went well they would have to get agreement ratified in English and Turkish so it means same in both languages. Once this is done I don't see harm in issuing it to shareholders subject to tick boxes by Turkish government. That's my take. My expectation is circular by end Nov .

I doubt he could resist having a scout around Aus. for potential J.V's. whilst he is there.

I think you will find that Kerim lives in the UK but he was visiting his wife's family in Australia for Christmas last year when he got caught up in the Corvid lockdowns. Ariana have a great team on the ground in Turkey so I don't worry about where Kerim is, with today's communications he could run the Company from anywhere.

It looks to me as if the price could revisit sub-5p. It would be nice to round up to 5m shares and I will be keeping a sharp eye out for the opportunity to present itself this week.

I was wondering the same thing myself. Kerim must be doing a lot of management via internet. Good job he has superb management and geo teams.

Hang on in there. No news is good news. That is nothing has changed. But it's not just the J,V. shareholder circular due before Christmas, surely there is the potential for a lot more accretive news. All the while the J.V. is delayed we keep creaming the profits in of course as well. The lightbulb moment really can't be far away imo.

When was the lastn time Kerim was in Turkey?
I know we have corvid and he may have to isolate
I Know he is with his family
But Aus is a long way away
How long have they lived there any one know?
Perhaps we will get more opportunities in Aus with the money
Just seems strange to me living in Aus and haveing all your work in the Med area
Can't beat living on the job you get a better feel for things
