I think investors expressing their concerns here is part of the point of a bulletin board. I've not seen anything defamatory, just venting frustration. This game is about managing risk, and being informed well enough to do so. There is a lot of loyalty towards Kerim and Ariana, nobody wants to think that is misplaced. But, again, this is about making money, loyalty shouldn't really come into it.

Shortarm I think that is going a bit far , ok some of the posts have been a bit strong, but the market and investors are twitchy and the management could have handled the whole situation better.
I think many thought lessons had been learned but this week has reopened old wounds.

At least gold and silver going back up.

sol - not too worried about this. Turkey has a lot going for it in geopolitical terms (NATO member) and I think Erdogan knows exactly what he is doing. Part of his country's life blood is precious metals as can be seen by his insistence on buying every ounce that AAU produces so he won't want to disrupt that. If there is intervention by whomever - they won't want to interrupt production either so I think we are pretty safe. However in that unlikely scenario I think we might see lower price for a while... but then there's Cyprus... so Kerim has it covered.

I concur when I said first thing I meant if it had to be done last minute it should have been first thing. I genuinely thing they are expecting news anyway so could be why they left it to today. Bottom line sooner than mid morning.

Charles true but I am not as sure as you about not long to wait.
The worry is by the time this is concluded is where Turkey is going to be politically. That is my main worry here.

The RNS has done the trick - and supported the share price. Kerim must be feeling pretty pleased with himself for selling around 6p but as a result of his actions and the further delays in concluding the deal, ordinary PIs have suffered. But hang on - HAVE THEY? I think Ariana is still raking it in as a producer in Turkey while the band plays on and that surely means more cash for the coffers. And any delay means further profits to AAU, not Ozaltin, who must surely be exerting some influence on the government to get this deal concluded. So not long to wait now, I imagine. I topped up again today (a big thank you to Kerim and the sellers)

I don't think the volume has been high enough to back that argument up. Bottom line is we are down similar amounts to other in sector HUM 39 to 33.5 . The rns explains everything but should have been issued first thing - school boy error. As for their promotional dept yellow jersey well words fail me. Deal still on , fundamentals unchanged. The management of actions over the last week could have been done a lot better, but perception in the market has always been an issue and this hasn't helped. However whoever bought this morning congratulations as it's a marvellous buying opportunity and still is wish my funds weren't committed to the lovely HMRC.

I wonder if there will be another RNS later today after the meeting of the three parties. The bod may have been pushed into today's reassuring RNS when they intended to give more detailed information later.
