I thought today's RNS was good, but to attract the crowd who don't understand what JORCs are you need bigger grades than that. Mind, look at SHG's one earlier this week and share price barely responded

This is too complicated to take off at the moment IMO. Punters that can move prices, with the prospect of marketed instant riches (instant losses more likely) much prefer dreams to reality which is why this share is now a bit moribund ; too much reality. Now if base metals didn't feature, that might be a different story.

This from someone who knows little about AAU, but I see this sort of thing from time to time.

think the roulette wheel only comes into play when the pm bull is rampant, then almost all numbers, even those with just holes in the ground and no production, come up winners so the risk is much less.

but the key point i took from cssf's post yesterday, is that because there is no way to effectively value these non-producers and those with no or little defined resources, the bull market 'hope value' mentality takes over and pushes them to ridiculous levels, whereas sound companies with production etc. can be effectively valued so although they too may get overvalued in the heat of the bull, it will not be to same extent as the 'hope value' candidates.

I think we need a Kerim podcast to boost the share price

Soul, CSSF I take your point, and if that suits the individuals risk profile, then I totally understand, but the charts don't look too bad here do they? We are just as likely to take off like the preverbal 'Rocket' as anyone, anyone here long term has seen some good returns in the last year, I'll not criticise anyone who looks to take some profits off the table and gamble them on the roulette wheel, they might strike it lucky and get in and out in time to make some more, but its not for me. imo.

Renniks I think you have misunderstood what CSSF is saying and I don't think he is off-loading yet. But he, like many on this board, have been loyal to this company for more years than they care to remember and have seen lots of disappointment with the share price here and often in the face of other less quality stocks adding many bags.

I remember all too well the last gold bull market in 2011/12 when all sorts of rubbish like RRR was going up to ridiculous levels while this lagged.
We are currently seeing a similar situation where each day there is another small miner putting on big increases on first pass drilling results or because they have picked up some prospective ground while we are putting out continued great news and barely moving.

Having missed out on these rises in the past I don't think many holders are going to be bitten twice and as CSSF says this bull market is likely to be bigger than the last and there are going to be lots of opportunities that can't be missed.

You're right renniks2016 but all that profitable stuff, working mine, proven resources in the ground millions in the bank is sooooo yesterday, give me an outfit with dust in the ground and repeated money raisings then that's the share for me, it makes me break out in song
"They're coming to take me away ha ha ho ho he he"

Excellent update from Cyprus, any other 'flavour of the month' pre production outfit would rocket on this news but that's only because most PI's seemingly don't like millions in the bank, large profitable proven resources in the ground, a working mine that will soon double its capacity and a JV with a major company. Who would want to buy all that profitable stuff when you can pay over the odds for outfits that produce nothing. Forgot - and has really good T Shirts for sale! :-)

Lol, sorry Biggles, but it’s time to make moves. Get a seat on that train (rocket) before it leaves the station (clears the tower).

PMs are getting close to countdown and I feel a sense of increasing urgency. Now isn’t the time to be twiddling thumbs. A once in OUR lifetime event is close to hand and I’m determined not to screw it up procrastinating.

I'd suggest that doesn't take into account the other resource or metals? I was more around 1p per share total until more is proved up then that could be many multiples.

I was looking at 6.25-6.5p for the breakout. Tantalisingly close, but I often get the feeling that AAU could discover Hot Maden 2 or more, and the share price would drop. It surely can only be the Erdogan unknown factor. The company’s just too good

Thus, whilst maintaining my holding, I’m not prepared to wait another 15 years for 15p, so as I mentioned yesterday the rest of my funds are now solely collecting the lowest possible market cap explorers with quality management teams. Risk is a given, but it’s essential.

I realise now that this is the only way to ensure retirement within possibly a couple of years once gold is $3k oz+.

It is and it isn't if you look logically at the fundamentals and the make up of the shareholder register. Due to lack of PG getting institutions on board the register is made up of a lot of long standing loyal holders some have had sheds from very low levels 1-2p and therefore this point would represent a time to crystallise profit . Some will stay for the long haul some will be trading the stock. Point is due to the shareholder register the price will not go through rough rapidly but will continue a course of sustained growth in a stable manor. I affords one comfort in respect of not having trepidation about a sudden unprovoked dip but can cause frustration in that the share price might not directly reflect the news. I've got to grips with the dynamics of AAUs shareprice movement over the years but as I say I'm comfortable with it.

$0.04 per pound * 12% of project, I make it as 0.04p per share ... but as they say ...

I always find the interviews do more for us than the initial RNS'. Until the JV is signed we will not start motoring, huge uncertainty will suddenly disintegrate into a re rate as investors put a real value on the assets. Frustrating zzzzz
