Is that what Nico said mnomis? What a plonker. I might have to unfilter him to see what other gems of wisdom he's been sharing! We've already had the insti's selling shares they don't have yet classic from yesterday.

Actually busily reading a biography on him. For all his faults, I cannot help to be in awe of him for what he went through / did to get Space X to where it is today (don't understand Tesla valuation at all), but just watch some Space X videos and to see what they have done with reusable rockets is incredible for a private company.

So your ignorance extends to cellular biology as well?Ffs - I blame the education system. Conspiracies and low IQ go hand in hand.

He's a bit marmite! I love his vision, and share his passion for Mars and getting humans off of earth, as it's such a single point of failure for the species. Although when you spend time on ADVFN bb's you do wonder whether a big comet might be doing the universe a favour.Although as I do genuinely believe we live in a simulation. We can always get humanity back with a CTRL ALT DELETE :) I lost a lot of respect for him over the Thai cave incident though. Plus Tesla build quality is a shocker!

Nico - re nobody would buy ARB, cheaper to buy rigs comment. That may be the case, but if you look at Mara for example, their deliveries are pretty delayed and they have raised a lot of money. Using their paper to acquire ARB would seem to be a no-brainer and would immediately be value (edit: / EPS) accretive. Not my base case, but certainly would not rule it out.

Yes, very few people have their heads around blockchain. My son is doing theoretical astrophysics and I was trying to explain blockchain but he just thought I was nuts.

Yes, interesting crowd !

I think the risk with buying arb currently is that it has shot up so quickly that the current ABC might become a double zig-zag down.
Having said that, the second ABC shouldn't be anywhere as deep as the first.
So maybe phasing in would work ok.

In fairness, the human mind is conditioned to see the "value" of bright, shiny, heavy gold a lot easier than it is to see the "value" of digital gold ... when the last sceptic gets it and turns bullish, probably time to sell.

SNF,

Well, yes, the consolidation 'might' be over. We even have a little 5 up and 3 down on this mornings chart. It might be worth phasing in.
I tend to lock profits in as it 's easy to fall in love with a stock, like almost everyone on here has.

You believe what you want but humans are corrupt by nature and that will never change until Billy Gates starts implanting brain chips into us, and it will happen.

I guess that if everyone just looked at this the same way, it would be pretty boring. Personally, I am happy that for a number of cited reasons this sold off yesterday - as I bought on Friday at £1, and a back of the envelope says the company added ~ 50% to its valuation yesterday (yes, clearly requiring an assumption to be made that additional growth had not been factored in already), then I would have been silly not to buy more below £1 yesterday.

Is my timing perfect? Definitely not! Could I have traded this stock better - hell yes (although, thank goodness I did not get cute and sell everything at 15p or 40p or 80p to buy the pullback, only to have to buy back higher).

My personal view is that this is the go to Crypto miner to own, with the best management team and the best execution. Whether your entry is 80p, 100p or even 140p, you will be happy in the next 6 to 9 months (unless BTC has peaked of course, which I do not rule out, but do not think is very likely).

Of course a controversial way of getting a big gain from an investment, other than using charts, is to find a business that is being run really well, in a market with long term demand, where the business model has been proven and profits are increasing.

The Oaktree Capital executive is not the only one who recently softened his view on bitcoin. Earlier this month, economist David Rosenberg pleaded “ignorance on bitcoin,” admitting that the cryptocurrency exceeded his expectation. In November, Bridgewater Associates founder Ray Dalio admitted that he may be wrong about bitcoin and has since gained a better understanding of the cryptocurrency.
