Too many multiple account holders spoiling the bb is more like it.Troops rally round horneblower for a defensive action after an error.Easy to make a mistake when you hold so many accounts . Now if ADVFN had a one person one account policy then errors involving which account you were using would be eliminated

I know this sounds rather naive, but its a genuine query.

As I understand it there are blocks of BTC available on exchanges, bit like level 2 where equities are concerned.

Now, currently we are standing around $36,500 after rising in the last hour or so.

Like most here I believe that institutional interest in BTC will be high this year. If for example there are say $50m worth of bitcoin available at a price of $37,000 but an institution comes in and buys $400m worth in the morning and throughout the day tomorrow is that the reason why BTC could jump smartly say to $42,000 - the next available level - and also the same on the downside?

I'm still finding it difficult to get my head round - the equities bit on level 2 is a piece of cake but I'm still not 100% on how the bitcoin exchanges operate.

If you look at a live chart now you'll see that BTC has broken out above the 36100 minor downtrend resistance from the Thursday 40k high. So it 'should' now target the major resistance at 38.5k

Hi nugget,The key levels are as I listed previously. Yes, very much a consolidation.If bulls can break above the overhead downtrend, currently around 38.5 then the picture improves. If not, we're looking at the support levels below where we currently are, which I have at 32.25k and 27k. These are trendline supports. A further support is the rising 21 day EMA which has been hugely significant for BTC. If you look back at the 2017 bull run, price tested the 21 ema numerous times, and on each occasion it proved to be a fantastic entry level.However, I feel this is largely irrelevant. I would love a 27k entry but 27/32.25/35/40 will be irrelevant with the much higher levels to come.

Fourth wave consolidations are nearly always time-consuming.
Everything about the current btc consolidation currently indicates it has much lower to fall yet.
