With it's enormous overheads, Bitcoin is far too expensive to run to become a universal monetary "token".
Not saying it won't get to $300k (it's current channel target), but in the very long term, the world won't pay the cost because it won't be able to afford its carbon footprint.

Difficulty increase twice a month you can track that here. Estimated to be 9% more difficult next week, after the 10% increase already seen this month

Thanks nuggetYes re the valuations, but a large part of my forecasts is based upon assumed capacity expansion. Anyone watching PW's recent Q&A vids can't have failed to pick up on the pretty clear clues that we will hear more on that topic fairly soon.I'll try and get my excel sheets up on Dropbox soon so you can have a look at my model. Although it's very similar to Blonity's which also has future TPs of 1000p and above :)I no longer see a lot of the posts on here as I decided in order to make it bearable I had to filter all the trolls and attention seekers. Reading a Nico post is like eating celery - takes more energy to digest than it provides in nutrition....

Netcurtains your math assumes the millionaire BTC person was holding 20 million BTC in 2010. Have a think eh!

Hope not !!I think cash will be around for a decade Why wound the Fed give Honeywell (May have been another co) 800m for sensors and 60m to Spsy for sensors if they really thought there would be no cash in 5 years time ?Btc and currency can exist together

We won't be alive when it hits 10m unless anyone here is at school!!Surely as the btc price rises it gets harder to mine and new entrants appear ?Just can't see us having a mkt cap in the billions but v happy to be wrong Also who will want to hold arb with 30pct drawdowns in btc from higher levels ? Also btc is fixed supply and I'm sure argo will issue much more equity if our price rises a lot capping further price rises For me what makes btc so enticing is it's scarcity Problem for me is I'm in v low in Argo (20p avge ) and so am itching to take profits

Good morning to all.

re Aiden's post earlier, I remember Peter Wall said in answer to a question, that they would be using the warrant and option exercise money to probably "obtain more mining machines and keep back some for day to day running costs, which will enable us to keep back more BTC in treasury".

Nico - noted your comment earlier "BTC to $1m then $10m".

Whilst I'm not furthering the spat, this I feel is exactly what SNF alludes to re ARB, and so his £5, £10, £36 comments are as valid.

As I've said before, I'm definitely a "newbie" here and learning every day, but my thoughts turn to "infinity". Over the years as demand grows and supply dwindles due to halving etc and finally stops at 21m, although we won't probably see it in our lifetimes, BTC could go to $100m, or even $1bn as there will be no price cap on it whatsoever. Likewise there will be no price cap on ARB too, with its (by then) large collection of BTC and maybe other coins/tokens.

So, charting aside, maybe that is the sentiment SNF was trying to get across. A very long term outlook I appreciate but when BTC was 6c anyone then forecasting $38,000 would have been certified.

Is that the same drug barons that supply the pharmaceuticals?

Yes SNF,

I see this current bounce going further yet, closer to 38.5k

No change to the bigger chart picture. BTC needs to breach the jan 14th high of around 39.5k soon....or it will be going below the jan 11th low of 30.5k.

alm6: In 2010 a bit coin was worth 5p - that is the true.
Its now worth £35,000.

So a millionaire bit coin person in 2010 (eg a drug baron)
would be worth: 35000 / 0.05 * 1000000 = 700000000000

Which bit of my maths is wrong alm6?

I was thinking...
Who controls the world? Who are the secret trillionaires?
The story goes back to 2010 when each bit coin was worth 5p

Most of the "middle class" drug addicts of 2010 bought bit coins to buy drugs.
They just need a few of those coins lying around to now be millionaires. So I guess
majority of millionaires now are ex-drug addicts from 2010.

However that means the majority of trillionaires will have been the drug barons of 2010 who sold drugs for bit coins. They must be the "secret cabal of trillionaires" who now control the world.

Agree about CEO but i dont see valuation being through organic growth and mining revenues alone.I think they have an M&A deal lined up.2021 is the year of the SPAC(in the UK)and M&A

Agreed Just listened to all the videos by Peter WallHe's a top guy and we are lucky to have him as CEOI love the fact he has regular interaction with us shareholders AND he said we would be a 1bn mkt cap v soon !! Obviously dependent on BTC price !! That's means 300p !! No chance of 36 pounds or even 10 pounds imho but 300p will do !! Lol

Has anyone totted up how much cash arb has got through the recent exercise of the options and warrants?

I posted this on BIDS and think its relevant here as i see ARB being involved in an M&A deal. hTTps://acceleratedmfgbrokers.com/growth-acquisition-vs-organic-growth/.Only a few Big players in the ARB sector and i think we will be given the chance to grow through M&A rather than buy a takeover. The Buzz word just now is SPAC and it might be a consideration to allow ARB to expand rapidly through M&A. hTTps://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/spacs-london-ipo-blank-check-activity-us-stock-exchange-2020-10-1029651615?op=1.That would allow ARB to grow exponentially with M&A rather than the slower organic growth
