You can't get more if an outside influence that the amount of rainfall in China.

Biggest outside influence at present is the incoming $2000 cheques for all Yanks. Lot will end up in crypto. A definite upside bias due to extrnal influences IMO and a factor the charts can not reflect

What outside influences can a digital currency have ?
It has no company news, no directors, no interest in the economy whatsoever.

It's driven by pure investor sentiment...which is why the waves are so clear.

But there was a GLA at the end of the post to make us all feel better.

...actually that's more of a reason for filter.

and we don't need luck - its all skill of course.

We'll likely know at some point today whether the C-wave is in play, which will take BTC down to below 30k.
For the uptrend to be back on, it would need now to literally blast through 42k.....a slight new high still really wouldn't change the situation technically.

Why? (You sort of made a stupid comment with zero evidence to back it up.....kind of a moronic thing to do don't you think?)filtered.

Well, it's interesting.
Waves of trader sentiment drive all stock prices. But with company stocks, outside events can have some volatility effect, even though they are nit the drivers.
With cryptos, they have no real physical existence, and therefore no outside influences.
The chart waves are the clearest of all...despite the volatility.

Good morning to all.

Understand BTC consolidating now, still learning about the "waves" etc., but a fascinating scenario.

I have all the patience in the world using my strategy of buying ARB on any dips of 10%, and holding until BTC is at least $100,000.

GLA.

Hi SSB, not sure where you get the impression I own any BTC. I own no BTC, but do invest in ARB.My question is related to the forecast income streams of ARB going forward and how transaction fees may vary as the value of BTC rises.Just trying to understand and learn from the experts here.

Hi alm, our posts crossed. I understand what you mean now.

The wave down that rejected 42k wasn't a wave 2. It was an A-wave. The B-wave was the bounce higher back to just below 40k.
I'm seeing the C-wave down underway, but we won't know for sure until tomorrow.
If it is....it needs to go below 30k before the uptrend resumes.

Yes exactly. Wave 2 was downward and hit a low of around 30k wave 4 is also downward, but as part of the pattern it has to bottom out higher than 2, to keep the upward momentum.

No alm, your understanding is quite wrong.

Bitcoin is in a BULL market.
Wave 4 is downwards.

The 4 correction can't go lower than the 2 correction. We have a bottom of >30k for this correction.

Yes count, after a wave 4 correction lower comes a wave 5 to new highs.
The bad news is that wave 4's are time-consuming, and because the wave 3 spike higher was so large, the wave 4 down has quite a bit further to go yet.
Painful short-term for holders of ARB whose chart is in-step with btc....and very volatile.

Btc is currently in a wave 4 correction lower from 42k.
So is ARB.

Do you mean btc is dropping count ?

It will do.
The rise from the lows is what's called a B-wave. It's a technical corrective wave before another powerful wave down. It's part of the bigger ongoing correction from btc reaching about 42k which was the 4.618 fob extension.
Short-term very painful for holders.
