QS99 - looks like PlanB is saying that BTC will rise 100-fold from the current $38,000 to $3,800,000.

Seems rather top heavy and no time frame given.

Anyone views on a BTC $3.8m price eventually?

QS99 - I presume PlanB was referring to an eventual mcap for BTC.

It's around $1 trillion at the moment so I believe, so in effect he's saying that BTC will eventually rise 100 fold from the current level.

So at the current rate of $38,000 he's saying BTC $3,800,000. No time frame given though, so a stab in the dark.

But some know far more than me about it all.

SNF - any views on that figure or do you think its just pie in the sky?

I would imagine then quite a bit of volatility for the day ahead, the weekend's price action in BTC will be interesting too.

Would be good to get confirmation of any Musk news as well. Maybe that might leak out over the weekend when all is quiet elsewhere.

Contracts can be unwound any time market open. Interesting move up earlier may mean shorts caught out of the money and may need to rush to close by eod if price doesn’t fall. Usually can just roll contract but have to take the loss in that case.

Excuse this question as I have no clue on this.

Does anybody know when the futures expiry (around $11bn apparently) goes into action today?

Is it an all day thing or timed to coincide with the start of US trading at 2.30pm our time?

I ask because somebody referenced the other day on the other thread that it would cause huge volatility in BTC and I'm wondering whether it will add to the current price, which I believe gone up on the back of the Elon Musk news.

Talking of he apparently tweeted again this morning with a few words "It was inevitable".

Speculation then that maybe a chunk of the Tesla balance sheet has been or will be transferred from USD to BTC.

Fair shout but with the new machines RNS and Fomo building before the weekend, if Btc stays strong, I'm pretty confident recent highs will be broken especially with the media hype around the GME scandal and huge influences pushing crypto

When you see such sharp price rises, does make one hesitant to try to get cute and trade BTC and by implication ARB - easy to miss out on a big sharp move higher. Feels like momentum is gathering to break $42k, at which point, seems like an easy buy zone for a push much higher.

I see a few people I follow on Twitter (Northstar, Cryptosniper) now calling $60k bitcoin in the coming months. I think those price levels will push ARB to 200p.
