09/2/2023 15:45 | Its all about confidence in the management/company. They have had a few years of overpromising and under delivering - so whilst things appear to be back on track the market wants a few quarters of solid growth to prove it. They probably deserve a lower rating on that basis, but will hopefully close the gap. | dr biotech
09/2/2023 14:31 | No reason why the p/e shouldn’t be in the 20s which would mean a share price in 200s or even 30s Agfx has one of the lowest if not THE lowest in the sector. t5 there’s plenty of shares with p/es in 40s, this is where you make the real money, buying when the p/e is low and seeing its profits rise alongside the increase in P/E hence a good re-valuation I managed it with GAW, buying when it was unloved, now they fall over themselves to buy it at a much higher rating (I believe GAW p/e went from around 6 to over 40, the share price didn’t rise from low single figs to 120quid just on the increase in profits. | big7ime
09/2/2023 14:00 | Seeing what happens at a peg of 1, gives you an idea of how much valuation space you’ve got. I seem to remember a fund manager interviewed recently hinted that he thought a share price beginning with “2” would be reasonable. | yump
09/2/2023 09:18 | Sure, this is just a common scenario that value investors use to consider what a fair price might be (where PEG = 1). | phillkay
09/2/2023 08:42 | But slinging out a valuation based on a PE multiple of 40 is just cloud cuckoo land. | trident5
09/2/2023 08:10 | Last time I saw a post about p/e, growth rates and Pegs on advfn was years ago ! Yet its still the real measure of what you’re getting in a growth share, while all the ebitda, enterprise value, revenue multiples and other kings new clothes calculations just muddy the waters. | yump
08/2/2023 22:24 | AGFX 31st March FY - 2020 diluted 7.1p, 2021 5.2p, 2022 6.6p, 2023 9.5/10p maybe (HY 4.5 v 3). Current PE 131/6.6 = 20ish, 2023 = 131/10 = 13/14 (earnings growth = 9.5/6.6 = 40%) 2023 PEG 14/40 = 0.35, so for a PEG of 1 for example, PE should be 40, price should be 380p/9.5 = 40. That is a long way from 131p. | phillkay
02/2/2023 19:45 | Agreed. I'm watching to see if it breaks 140p! | johndoe23
02/2/2023 19:19 | A few tests of 140 ahead then it's potentially 170 and if that gets support 200. | toffeeman
02/2/2023 19:03 | Not tipped, but yes bought. Hence the rise | johndoe23
02/2/2023 18:38 | Tipped again by The Naked Trader | tanneg
30/1/2023 09:11 | I suppose answering my own question, people taking profits, long termers coming back in later | johndoe23
30/1/2023 09:09 | This usually dives after any results or updates, any reason why? Then picks up after a week or two | johndoe23
26/1/2023 18:43 | Thanks Paul for posting.Still more upside. | disc0dave45
26/1/2023 17:10 | If they can fund continual growth while increasing profits significantly year on year, that's pretty much the holy grail of business. (and investment) | yump

26/1/2023 14:32 | In this 'must watch' interview, CEO Harry Adams of Argentex - a specialist provider of foreign exchange services - takes me through today's impressive yearend trading update & exciting growth trajectory. www.linkedin.com/pos | brummy_git
26/1/2023 10:54 | Revenues 63% increase compared to the same period last year. and Argentex will continue to invest to double the footprint of its UK and European headquarters over H1 2023. Nice. | chinahere
26/1/2023 10:30 | No idea trident, will have to reappraise on progress and 2023 results. Can’t see the share price languishing under 150 for long now but I’m also in for the long term | big7ime
26/1/2023 10:01 | ali47fish, this chart will illustrate my point. The "smart" money who sold out in mid 2021 are likely still on the beach somewhere in the West Indies as there is a shortage of snow for skiing. free stock charts from uk.advfn.com | melton john
26/1/2023 09:24 | What's the target at break 210? | trident5
26/1/2023 09:18 | Break 140 and there’s a wonderful inverted H&S to 210p tgt. | big7ime
26/1/2023 08:53 | Singers increase in TP 23% is a material upgrade IMO....DYOR, happy to hold... | qs99
26/1/2023 08:42 | MJ Absolutely. Gloom and fear last a long time. Mainstream media will probably only cover market recovery when its already up 50%. | yump |
