Taken a few here.

Not entirely sure this is ready to start moving higher, but the book is building on the bid here. There was a further delayed print to take exchanges to 1.6m, as per the above, so it might have cleared sellers.

Looking at the book now:

10k bid at 103p
10k bid at 104p (5k sold into it to leave 5k on the book now)
10k bid at 105p

It is often hard to say how big any orders are on the book, but these are slightly out of the ordinary for AGFX. Interested to see if the market notices them, and starts buying to bid the price through the current offer of 107p, with a possible eventual move through 110p to test the recent high again.

Trading momentum appears to suggest further upgrades.

Let's see how it goes.

All imo

2x 700k + trades gone through at 100- largest vol since Nov 21- see if it's enough to get it moving again...

740k lobbed at 100p.

Well, there is the seller who has dragged the price down from recent highs. Upgrade City here and it shouldn't have really fallen this far back on the recent trading but AGFX is prone to this type of lumpy move - yep been here before....many many many a time!

And now we watch to see if any more hit the book for a possible clearing of sellers and pop back higher. Book is thin with the spread wide at 98.6p vs 103.5p. No movement yet on the back of that print. Ideally want to see a bigger clear out and the book building on the bid with bulls taking control of that 100p mark and then a pop back and break above 104p to signal sellers cleared.

Clearly there is no "ideally" in financial markets so we have to watch and see and use stops (carefully with these wider spread and gap prone ones) if having a go. Without further sizable prints, it doesn't look like sellers are done yet.

Come on, let's see some whoppers for a clear out all in one go and pop back.

All imo

Hi, thanks to MJ who flagged these elsewhere (& must have held since early 2021? smile emoji), so been having a gander.Still looks reasonably priced IMO, doing quick numbers I reckon an equivalent 12 month eps of 10p (this FY is only 9 months) and then consensus is 20% eps growth for their next FY, so 12p. Even on a PE of 15x there's still decent upside. What were Singers eps forecasts?, they mention in the last note they've increased them but can't see what they actually were. Thanks

Good point Yump, I really thought it should have been 127 after results. I’m holding long term as my vision is of a company many times the current size. Taking GAW as example, their p/e was single digit and took a while to gain trust that growth would continue, much the same as I’m seeing playing out here. Once investors were used to profits improving by double digit growth yr on yr the shares re-rated over a few yrs by a much higher percentage than the increased profit as the p/e multiplied four or five fold, resulting in share price multi bagging over 10x in those few yrs.
Just need patience. What other companies are growing as fast yr on yr ?

You are saying that after the event.

It could easily have settled around 120p.

Where is the book of analysis of all these retrospective rationalisations ?

If you look at the chart, it was always going to test the 100p level a few times, the low of 2020 and late 2021. It could be in now, so wave goodbye to sub 100, and pathway is clear to 140p next, I would say that’s a possible level for early next yr.

GAW I remember being equally frustrating and very similar chart . Then it 20bagged in five yrs
Agfx will be a 2Bn co. if not 4bn, One day I know it
I’m in for the long haul and the volatility is no problem.

A mix of things I reckon, lack of int divi (I know - will be pd at eoy), annoyance at directors incentive at time most shareholders on big losses, st profit taking
Daft and Short lived I know but annoying all the same
Can’t find a share with better prospects at such value so might have to top up again tomorrow

hi Ali, i was licking my wounds! (being a bit sarcastic as AGFX is a large holding of mine)

It is interesting though that on a day when we have seen some large moves in various currency pairings (as the $ looks to be rolling over at last) that a company that should thrive in such conditions is down so heavily!

I'd love to see the stats on whether the gaps filled idea is significant or not.

I guess if enough people have been on a chartists course and have bought into the snake oil, then gaps will be filled. To hell with science.

Its just nice when the "theorists" are caught out by practice based events.

Which reminds me, its easy to prove the world isn't flat, because if it was, you'd see adverts for all the hotels on the edge with the view. (I saw that somewhere its not mine !)

Singers note is post 952. Upgraded EPS..

I’m guessing a larger holder wants out, or some traders have had enough. Shame as todays fall has tempered an otherwise excellent day.

Also quite possible that a financey stock attracts traders much more than a stock making widgets in a factory.

Added again. It's the nature of a bear market that good results/updates do not get the share price reaction that you would normally expect; it provides ample opportunity for the patient to accumulate bargains.
