08/11/2022 08:22 | Surely can’t be many nervous PIs left holding these, most now being in the hands of longer term holders. Articles in financial press should give these a boost over coming weeks as AGFX is the best valued amongst it’s peers. | big7ime
08/11/2022 08:15 | P.S IMC doing presentation at 4pm for PIs | thorpematt

08/11/2022 07:29 | Lots of expectations being exceeded- would love to see some new estimates from Singer..... Fairly "clean" numbers too (adj v stat) Bit stingy with that 26m net cash, making me wait for that dividend ;) | se81
24/10/2022 15:44 | I thought a flag was a very short term pullback, as in days. This looks more like a consolidation with a potential break-out back to 120 ish. | yump
24/10/2022 12:24 | @trident - yes, I read it as a minimum rise to 119. I think it will go much higher though - all time high eventually - so I am not trading it. | doctor888
24/10/2022 11:53 | trident5 Perhaps its a reference to over use of derivatives, which in some ways doesn't always work out as a hedge, as the pension funds found out recently. | yump
24/10/2022 11:12 | When the flag is complete - does it get run up the pole? Is that what's happening? | trident5
24/10/2022 11:02 | @Doobz - movement just based on technicals - completion of a flag... We should be going up much higher from here. | doctor888
24/10/2022 10:43 | Must have been tipped somewhere, or possibly something bubbling up, possible bid with any luck | doobz
24/10/2022 09:53 | why is it up today on no news? | ali47fish
21/10/2022 09:26 | How can you hedge speculatively? | trident5
21/10/2022 08:47 | Interesting comments from AFX this morning: “The recent volatility has not brought forward any material revenues and trading has followed a consistent pattern of growth to the prior year. This is because our ethos is to encourage clients to adopt a formalised and structured approach to currency risk management, rather than hedging disproportionately and speculatively in response to isolated macro-conditionsR Is that a thinly veiled dig at AGFX’s 75% revenue growth during H1? I’m not even sure I agree with the sentiment that (for example) uk based dollar earners shouldn’t be increasing their longer dated revenue hedging requirements if they are able to fund margin requirements(which have recently increased) and management forecasts (or even exchange rate assumptions on which businesses have been acquired) were for cable at a much higher level Interesting that AGFX specifically mention “short term” trading conditions but nothing on interest income from cash held | se81
03/10/2022 17:16 | Argentex mentioned briefly on LBC radio today (starts 21:50) hxxps://www.globalpl | brummy_git
03/10/2022 15:31 | in the stock market, you go up in an escalator and down in an elevator. Today news about Argentex meets this sentence, it deserves a much higher uplift. | gusrezo
03/10/2022 09:31 | Not sure how long it was supposed to take for new hires to get up to full efficiency, but must be getting there soonish - I think it was mentioned at least a year ago | yump
03/10/2022 08:55 | Cracking H1 trading update from specialist forex hedging firm Argentex today. All the news & commentary here. www.linkedin.com/pos | brummy_git
03/10/2022 08:52 | Convincing yourself that a business is sound despite a pitiful share price is very difficult ! I suppose its actually just been following the effects of falling earnings growth plus consequent falling rating, which is as bad on the way down as the reverse is great on the way up. These investment periods that cause earnings drops seem good opportunities, if you’ve got the guts ! O/t I’m wondering about buying more MOON having bought higher up. A lot of growth to come but they’ve invested a lot recently - chart looks horrible - until it doesn’t. | yump
03/10/2022 08:16 | Wow nice, those top ups in the 70's were worth the stress | dplewis1
03/10/2022 08:13 | Excellent news. Nice to have a holding doing well! | topvest
03/10/2022 08:06 | Welcome back to triple digits. | manics
03/10/2022 07:58 | I like this clarity (as well as the huge beat on revenues), think they've got the message re communication with the mkt "*the Group has changed to a 31 December year end and for this year will report unaudited 6 months to 30 September 2022 and audited 9 months to 31 December 2022. H1 2022 refers to the period from 1 April 2021 to 30 September 2021, the first half of the last financial year ended 31 March 2022. Revenues generated in the nine months to 30 September 2022 are £36.9m, an increase of 58% compared to the same period in the prior year (9 months to September 2021 £23.4m)." Suppose next question is what the normalised level of business now looks like outside of this period of heightened volatility | se81 |
