23/2/2021 07:20 | Good morning all ! Disappointing and uninspiring results unfortunately. Despite the mention of results expected to be in line for the year and investment in the development of the sales workforce, I get the sense that the market will be in an unforgiving mood given the gains being made elsewhere. Given the poor liquidity, I expect the share price to fall pretty sharpish. Brace ! | multibagger
22/2/2021 13:50 | Been a few director changes in the last 6 months, hope it invigorates things. Sarah Wisbey (Arc Ltd secretary) is a loss though, she was a wonderful organiser. Darren Lewis (Arc Ltd director) is the only person left that I knew - excellent software lead developer. | cooltools
21/2/2021 07:27 | Good morning all :) One of the rare weeks when there may be an ARC RNS....results for H1 trading till Dec 2020 is likely to be announced in the coming week. Will be interesting to see whether the rate of growth has picked up and into double figures ? Though I am not too sure on that. I hope that they have some serious plans with the cash they are sitting on which isn't earning its keep in my view. I estimate that the cash in hand could be in the region of £5.6m to 5.7m. | multibagger
05/2/2021 20:21 | ....I think given the very poor liquidity and wide bid/offer spread in ARC, I feel that it does not make for consistent profitable trading... I have held it for years (c early 2016) and tried trading it a little ... but it can move extremely quickly on very small volume so I generally now treat it as a lth. And a very decent hold it has been. | janeann
05/2/2021 19:43 | Hi gleach23, Thanks for sharing your input and context. I am pretty terrible with trading generally so stick to longer term investing by and large and haven't got the guts to do CFD/Spreadbets ! I think given the very poor liquidity and wide bid/offer spread in ARC, I feel that it does not make for consistent profitable trading, but you may be a lot better at it. Good luck :) | multibagger
05/2/2021 18:26 | I bought into ARC as a dabble at the tail end of last year as it ticked most of the boxes for me at that time. It was showing a small loss until this morning. There was no obvious cause for the drop - possibly just a mark-down on one of the poor market days of January which had not yet been reversed. Anyway, it still looked to me that 'up' was more likely than 'down' from here, so I decided to top up at the lower price - - just in time! There was no immediate online availability but a limit order was filled in about 15 mins. By noon I was in profit on my total holding and wishing I had been more adventurous (although that may not have been possible without paying a premium). ARC is one of those companies in the right business at the right time (imho). It has plenty of cash, a decent growth record and is not expensive by the standards for its sector. Definiutely not one for frequent trading as the liquidity seems limited causing a wide spread (or maybe it's the other way round!) Interim results are typically released towards the end of February although last year, with the Covid outbreak starting, they slipped into March. Either way, they'll probably be out within a month or so. | boadicea
05/2/2021 12:08 | Hello multibagger. FWIW I'm not sure the 2x500 share trades are linked. Once I saw only 1500 shares available to buy earlier I started to build a spreadbet position which I could only do in small increments. I think the 200 and 500 buys were IG covering my positions are they were reported as soon as I placed my bets. They didn't do it every time though. Anyway it's pretty small beer - just a bit of fun to supplement my shareholding but thought I'd try to add some context to your comment above :) I do a lot of trading at the moment and this is one share I've struggled with. I can't resist trading it as I find initial moves predictable but then I get wrong footed. The spread is not conducive to spread betting either so I'd agree with Tole about it not being a trader's share. Hoping this time is different as we await the H1 TU. | gleach23
05/2/2021 11:26 | Welcome aboard Tole and good luck ! It is very, very quiet thread...next message could be in 2023 :) | multibagger
05/2/2021 11:24 | I added a few the other day on the drop. Only a small holding for me and only bought in last year circa 160. But this is definitely one to tuck away as a longer term holding rather than a traders stock. | tole
05/2/2021 09:33 | Good morning all ! Some signs of trading activity - in unusual quantities and multiple (circa 500 each)...looks like the Etoro copy traders may be arriving ? So won't be surprised to see a sharp spike in share price on volumes...unless there is a large seller. Good for us LTHs :) Edit: Looks like ARC did not move as expected and Mr/Ms 500 has moved on - sold after 17 min and 19 Sec :) | multibagger
16/10/2020 09:30 | yes James, agreed | qvg
16/10/2020 07:52 | More positive news, looks like this one may be back to testing new highs in the not so distant future. | jamessmith23
05/10/2020 11:52 | Thought about it but the spread is very large on this share, wouldn't be surprised to see this head back down to c175, but I also added at c150 the morning of the most recent news so can't complain, and long term would expect to see the 220-250. | jamessmith23
05/10/2020 11:49 | Sold my trading shares at 192p to recover the stake. Added the rest 'for free' to my core holding. Good bit of business, as I bought at 1.56p a few days ago. Average cost of holding is back below zero. Job done. Probably missed 10p, or more, but not grumbling. | redartbmud
05/10/2020 11:44 | Will expect a bit of selling into the rise, but that's normal. Definitely holding onto mine as still 10% off the highs earlier this year. | jamessmith23
05/10/2020 11:34 | Just been tipped by Simon Thompson in IC Alpha. Can expect follow up tips over the next few months/years... | pastybap
02/10/2020 15:09 | There appears to be a gap in the market to be exploited with other Tier 1 potential customers | zipstuck
02/10/2020 13:14 | Nothing wrong with excess cash on the balance sheet right now. | trident5
02/10/2020 12:49 | Investor’s Champion comments that the company has the luxury of £5m of cash on its balance sheet, equivalent to 37.6p per share. If anything, they have far too much cash for their needs and they would be interested to know management’s intentions for this. | energeticbacker
02/10/2020 10:14 | The reality of the Rns appears to be kicking in and the share price upward momentum has stalled. I can't see a raft of selling at these levels. Best we can hope for is maybe a re-rating based on adding a new Tier 1 customer, who will provide a modest increase in revenues in the initial stages. The sales geeks need to kick in and expand the uptake of the customer. | redartbmud
02/10/2020 10:01 | Spooky, thankfully for those who have been in for a while, ARC has been a multibagger several times over already :) | multibagger
02/10/2020 08:33 | Nice to see all buys today as well, ironic how I've moaned about large spreads and the only time you can get a decent spread is when they really want your shares... | jamessmith23
02/10/2020 08:17 | 'A multi-bagger in the making'. All that is required is a little patience. | spooky
02/10/2020 08:17 | After a review of the company last night, which on balance I decided to continue holding, today’s RNS was very welcome. | johnveals |
