I've bought for the first time today. Has been on watchlist for ages but felt I'd missed the boat so delighted to buy such quality

Have added a few more this last week.

Almost 20% off recent highs & RSI heavily oversold, so seemed a good opportunity given the quality & long term prospects on offer.

Hi FLX5 - welcome!

There are some sites that give charts that go back that far, e.g. Morningstar:

(click on Max)

There was a share consolidation on 27th Sept 2016 of 125 old shares => one new share. It looks like the Morningstar charts include this, as there's no abrupt change at that date.

2003/2004 was the peak value time for KTS, with an all time high at 2000p. When ARC ltd took over KTS, creating ARC plc, it was found that KTS's software systems were inefficient and expensive to run (each server could handle only a small number of online clients at a time, IIRC). The expected synergy between KTS and ARC was found not to exist, so ARC promptly cut their losses, dropped the KTS product, sold the client-base and focused on developing its real-time market data infrastructure and desktop products - as it still does. The product and client-base continues to go from strength to strength.

(I worked at ARC at the time, but of course, was not privy to all info, and is IIRC.)

Looking for some help. I held KTS share back in 2003/4When they were almost worthless.Do they have value now in this company. Thought they had gone bust, obviously not. Thanks

I have been top slicing today as target reached. In reality a more exact target 210p. Have now left rest in because if this could get passed 210 on a convincing close then £3 on the cards.

The ARC rockets to another new high...surely there has to be some profit taking ? Moves of 5-6p a day over the last few days.

Congrats to whoever called £2 about 12 months ago - hats off ! I for one did not see this strength, this soon.

Good luck all :)

Edit: It was Red Army who called £2 around 11 July 2018 - though the time frame he indicated was shorter.

No idea, mb - but expect is negotiated and commercially sensitive. We could ask at the AGM, but one suspects the answer will be "competitive".

Thanks cooltools - good to see the doubling of seat licences (albeit from a low base). I seem to recall that each seat licence is very competitively priced, but any idea as to ball park figures for each seat licence ?

Do the prices for the licences creep upwards on an annual or 3 year basis ? TIA

From Sarah at ARC:

Desktop is still in trials but there are some details in our final results published on 22nd August.

From final results:

"The year under review saw the two global clients using our Desktop software solution increase their usage and the signing of another client, bringing the total to three, the third being a completely new client. We now have a total of 90 end users (2018: 45) and continue to work with other clients where we are running trials."

The view from our wealth industry is that you can access real time data on demand or on schedule, but Alteryx is not a real time (near real time) data program.

They also say that most users are happy to have correct data when they want it.

I'm making enquiries at a couple of local wealth managers that use Alteryx, Valhamos.

Visualisation?? How is Alteryx any different from other data analytics /visualisation platforms? Tableau for instance. In other words why is Alteryx a threat to Arcontech but not the rest of the sector? Still nothing about market data and no evidence that Alteryx is being used or even can be used in that specialist area.

Does this alter your view about the difference between Arcontech and Alteryx?

"Data science and analytics firm Alteryx, Inc. has announced the general availability of their analytics platform. Version 2018.3 features new tools to help improve analytics, data preparation, sharing and collaboration and now includes a new tool called Visualytics.
This new offering provides real-time data visualizations across the Alteryx platform. This allows users to see and understand their data at any place in the analytics workflow and generate insights. This helps identify errors, streamline the analytics process and improve decision making."

Thanks cooltools - and yes ; it was those talks of the financial institutions moving offices out of London that I thought could impact arc's client base. Personally I think the risk remains but probably at a slightly lower level - time will tell but I still have a very decent (for me) holding.

janeann - exactly, they've weathered the uncertainty so far. At the time of the referendum there was a lot of noise of investment houses and banks threatening to close or reduce their London offices and move to Europe. Well, they've had three years and those threats haven't materialised for any of ARC's customers, so feeling more confident for post BREXIT, if it happens.
