Agreed re need for funds from somewhere, but I feel a placing right now wouldn't reflect very well on NvS in view of his comments during last week's proactive investors interview. He may be hoping to conclude a sale of Sturec or announce a jv before the need for cash becomes pressing. Also, I seem to remember we had terms for 90 day payment with our drilling contractors. If that's right we should be paid up for work done to mid November and there hasn't been much drilling since then due to the wet season. So maybe we have 2-3 months yet.

parsons4, a quick Q if you don't mind. You say that 'they would like to do a placing at a much higher level' but then say that is the reason for your reducing your current holdings.

If it's at a MUCH HIGHER level, why would you reduce now, but instead wait for the much higher level before doing so, doesn't make sense?

I agree Cheadle, they would like to do a placing at a much higher level, this is why I have reduced my holding lately !!!

There could be another placement at some point, but equally there could be funding via a jv agreement. I think they are waiting for a higher share price though for any announcment on placings.

Great analysis sleeven. The guy is invested in JLP, so it's natural that he equates good news to management trying to fleece you with a placing at a discount. Poor guy.

Lot of pumping by management with RNSs recently IMHO.

That can only mean a placing (the cash raised in October is mostly spent by now).

Agreed. Looks like we could be back above 4p very soon. I wonder when they will announce plant fully operational? 10 days is nearly up!!

beadle, the quieter this BB the better imo. Plenty of time for everyone to find us and climb on board as, in the meantime if anyone wants to, they can purchase more shares at these levels.

Looks promising, Zamsort is the jewel in the crown for ARCM, and development/exploration is well underway. The DRC assets may also be worthwhile but much higher risk. I think next week could see another RNS. I am surprised this board has been so quiet during the last 2 days, very few posts.

Much discussion on the LSE board about this:
The Mast is a Zambian newspaper and I don't know how accurate its reporting is, but basically the story is that Zamsort is investing $100m 'soon' in plant expansion to produce copper and cobalt. Our share of that will presumably be through sale of Casa or, more likely I guess, through a jv of some sort. Maybe we'll hear more on Monday?
